I have been using these for 3-4 months now, 60-70 miles a week and still like new. Been using them in the snow and rain and they keep your feet a lot warmer than road bike shoes

thanks, i was at the gym and was told that i need SPD shoes for the bike..

out of interest is this a spd shoe?

Spd- shimano pedal design. The link indicates they are compatible. You may need to buy the cleats separately.

It's slightly complicated!

You need the pedals (on the spinning bike), the shoes and then the correct cleats which screw onto the soles of the shoes. SPD-SL are not the same as just SPD (I don't think). I'd ask at the gym to make sure what type they have. Cleats are about £15. Our gym has both bikes with straps and bikes with SPD pedals. I'd be surprised if your gym ONLY has SPD pedals on their bikes as it restricts who can use them.

Just went to Evans - very expensive shop!

£53 for the boots (not in stock) and £15 for the cleats.. SPD - SL are the ones i require..

I threw some fairly okay shoes away when I moved house recently. Doh!

I got some very good vfm shoes from Evans. £130 rrp reduced to £65.
