Lol , I am too , not making excuses and not saying this as a get out
But it's also gonna be a good test of modding on a budget ?

Can you do things on the cheap or not , I use and thrash the car daily and have done around 8k since I've started modding it , it's now on 143k
And I suppose the only test left is what power is it producing

So we've got a £2k bug with 143k Miles on it
Spent £390 on mods
And mapped by a bloke in a shed
So far it's done around 8k on said mods
And I would like to see it produce a minimum of 300bhp
I'm sure this don't happen often ?

Not exactly as I said using airflow etc you can get a good idea but I keep tinkering from very easy timing to a tad more boost to less boost and leaner spoolup etc. So many variables that every day (10 months on from the start) that I open the laptop in the car, is a learning day.
Will be interested to see how toneh gets on with his carberry setup which is a very different way to how I am doing it.

What kind of shed mapper are you, the second figure is torque!!

The third parameter is long term outcome!!

(seriously though, it will be interesting to see what the outcome is, might ruffle a few feathers!)

Lol nah , it was pretty un eventful
In the end I bobbed out and mapped my boost down , thinking that I'd be better having a sensible run rather than trying to push it
I'll list the reasons when the flack starts lol

So the amazing figure was ,,,,, 260,,,,

And the winner is

It's all an experience too me mate

Folks think I'm probably disappointed ,but for me it went well and considering how much i dropped the boost this morning and how its mapped to drop off the power result is probably whats to be expected it also has confirmed a couple of things about mapping
More power would have been nice but the other results I've got are more important to me at the moment

It's not miles off tony, you just need to work on that boost control more than anything without boosting too high.

It's not mate at all , with hindsight I could have run and held more boost , but I wasn't 100%
( no point in trying to be a hero )
I now know im all good to start tweaking back up , the only question is how much ?

Yeah dead serious , I was getting random spikes which I wasn't happy with and rather than trying to impress everyone with a super duper power run , I backed the boost off to 17peak dropping to 10 redline
Don't forget with my dodgy methods I'm pretty sure fuel ect is ok
But as it turns out it is ok ,
Like I say knowing what I now know I could have kept the boost up
But you live and learn

I'm surprised it didn't make more even at 17psi....
