Aww Shucks. Now you really are making me blush.

I cant wait to crawl over, in and under it when we get to shoot the beast (hopefully in better weather conditions)

Now available with teflon wheel arches .. Nothing sticks to them.

You will have free run on the car Shaun with the camera it will be interesting to see what you can make of it with the camera lens
I may have had five minutes in the arches when I got to Combe I must admit as I knew someone would be having a closer look

Placed an order today for new roof trims... Very painful but no choice as all my clips are damaged and one of the gutter strips has a chunk missing plus 19 years of wear shows them looking very tired. All being well I'll pick them up Saturday and drop them at Ace, they are very busy this week so not able to go through the car so it's looking like another week before I finally bring it home, can't complain I make Combe that was the main mile stone.

Since Kev had great amusement telling me I looked like a glow worm on the way to Rallyday I thought had better sort my lights out I must admit it did seem all a bit faint from the drivers seat as well

A small parcel arrived today ready for when I get the car home....

Many thanks Alyn

Also had a good chat with Moley and sorted my insurance out, cheers Gary

Better than Phillips Rally 100W bulbs? If you've tried them, that is.

Sorry nothing as yet Joe, I'm still waiting on getting the car checked over as Ace have been flat out the last couple of weeks so mine had to take a back seat but all being well it will be sorted this week and then I'll let you know how I get on with the lights. I'm ready now to get the car home for good but I just need to be patience for a little longer

Not done a thing Joe just going to run it on V Power..... Andy thinks this car is older than 99ron as that came available at a later date so this car pre dates it so should be happy just on V Power alone, I will have a look into it further though when I get chance too but does that make sense to anyone reading this out there??

Yeah, it pre-dates 100ron fuel, to the best of my understanding.

Mines always been fine on either V-power or Tesco 99. It's fine on 97ron fuel also.

Just as we thought then Micky that makes sense now with the timings.

Thanks pleased you like the work so far

The discs has rattle can gloss black Hammerite on them.
The struts have and coat of agricultural machinery paint, it's hard wearing and designed to be in the elements so suited the job in hand

No updates as yet other than Ace have been flat out and the car has had to take a back step for them until they catch back up, ok frustrating for me not to have it home but it's just a time for a breather as well hence why I've been a little quite lately, I'm taking a well earned break but all being well I'll have it home very soon now and I can then get to work on the other elements I have planned out over the winter

Small update today.... removed the front grill, fog light covers and mirrors and dropped them off for fresh paint. This was a job I was going to do when the car is home over winter but I decided to take advantage since it's still with Ace at the moment. I had planned in my mind on the window surrounds as well but after a closer look today they are in great condition so I'll just give them a good deep clean.

We will get the ice cream but it will be more a case of putting the car cover on and grabbing one out if the freezer in the garage

I've not gone to RallyGB for many years John, It has been a long time indeed.
I plan on doing all my small jobs on the car over winter, fitting gauges along with ICE plus and some general tinkering. If it's mild enough I'll detail it and get it all ready for next year... And if there's a few good clean dry road days over winter I'll be looking to use it a little as well

One extra item delivered today from Japan with the help of Stu "53" is a Beatrush rear diff brace... I've read some great reviews on these plus with the rear carrier having all original bushes fitted I feel this will help and compliment all the uprated items fitted on the underside of the car.

A little while ago I picked up a second hand Phormula KS-3 knock link to run in the car, I realised then I needed a new connector and dropped Phormula an email to see what the cost would be and I have to say at the time I was impressed when there was no quibble at all and the answer was there's one in the post to you free of charge, now that is what you call after sales service !

Anyway this leads me on to say I unpacked the unit a few days ago again as I'm just getting my head around the jobs I need to complete over winter... I need to mount this in the car and I'll need to make a bracket no doubt when I find the best place to house it, in the mean time I started to give it a good clean as there was some double sided tape left on it and I looked at the screen face wondering what I could do to it as it was showing signs of use and age with scratches over it and thought I wonder..... So another email to Phormula followed and two days later a brand new screen face arrives along with some detailed instructions on email on how to fit it... Again no charge !

Now that's what I call customer service !

I just wanted to say thanks to Phormula for the help and customer service as that in my experience does not happen everyday. Considering I bought it second hand to start with it just goes to show there are good company's still out there today.

How's that...

I had one of the old Link ones modded into T31 it worked a treat, It never went off but it gave me peace of mind that's why I went for another.... The Link systems are about but basic and rare, nothing wrong with that I'd fit one without hesitation still. I'm sure I spotted an advert on FB from someone a while ago offering that type I'll have a look Stu
