What size is the genome pipe work then Ty? I have a milltek on mine I may do a deal with if any good to you? Got a slight dent on the backbox tho from memory from the first night I got it home and caught it on the drive but it could be the centre section that's marked, I'd have to inspect it if any good

I'm really gutted about having to change the Genome as they're quite rare and look the mutts danglies, but I don't want to get it butchered in order to make it fit.
The one redeeming thing is that the Genome will hold it's money very well as it's in A1 condition.

A couple of items arrived today, a new Milltek silencer and a K & N cone filter and sock.
Many thanks to Antony @ Indigo GT for sorting out the Milltek silencer plus Alyn @ AS Performance for sorting out the K & N items for me.
You may have noticed that this is the second K & N filter cone that I've bought for this car, and you'd be right as the first cone was just too big to fit into the inner wing without fouling.
So that'll be another item up for sale soon along with my Genome silencer.

Didn't realise the exhaust would restrict you that much, all makes sense now'! She's gonna be some sort of animal when she's all mapped up!

The one thing I have noticed is that the build quality of Milltek has improved a lot compared to my old Milltek system which must have been one of the first systems they did for twin scroll cars as it was 2.75'' pipework.
The metal quality is a lot better as are the welds.

Almost there now,got the front pipe wrapped in DEI titanium and fitted along with centre/rear sections of the miltek exhaust.
fitted the wide band lambda probe and routed through into cabin area by the toucan sensor wires ready for Martyn at engine tuner to wire onto the ecu harness.
got the toucan fitted and wire run behind dash also ready for wiring in.
While the car was on the ramp I changed over the new air filter, got the front bumper all fastened on and changed out the gearbox oil together with rear diff oil as well.
It's pretty much ready for it's voyage to ET for mapping, turbo blanket still to fit and the radiator which I'm picking up tomorrow night.
D-day is friday.

Not too far to go now, I am really pleased with how the car is turning out and with Ryan's workmanship.
I am gutted that the Genome silencer had to be swapped out for the Milltek but know why, but never mind.
Martyn will be having the car delivered down to him on Friday the 27th, and I will then pick it up on the following Friday the 3rd of May. I won't be there when it's mapped on the RR or when the final mapping result is known, but it will still be a nervous time no doubt.
The train tickets are with me to get down to Plymouth, I have no doubt that I will enjoy the drive home - I will no doubt have to try the anti-lag through the Brynglas tunnels, purely for testing purposes of course.
It's a little while since she has been at 'home' and I am sure that the neighbours believe that I sold her, are they are in for a shock...

Tyron, I got a spare heater vent assembly, modded it and ran the cables down through the vents, that way you dont have cables running down the side of the dash.

Also why are the wires ran to the drivers side footwell?

Ill be routing the wires down to passenger foot well Steve, just not had chance yet.
I wanted to keep the toucan wiring very easy to access and remove because I know Ty to well and how he changes his mind so it may need to be removed at some point so modding stuff is pointless to make it fit lol.

Thanks Simon, Ryan should take all the credit but I do keep him and Baz fuelled up when I drop in.
I hope so Rob, Cinderella shall go to the ball although I do hope the ugly sisters aren't in the Brecon area waiting to spoil the party.

I need to source a set of heater vents from either the later Blobeye or a Hawkeye as they no longer have the cup holder built into them.

Thanks Steve, my center console has been converted to the later type with a manual AC / heater control panel sourced from the USDM cars to allow me to retain the Spec C manual controls.
I need to source a set of heater vents from either the later Blobeye or a Hawkeye as they no longer have the cup holder built into them.

I got the part number off NAISOC threads and then ordered it from Japanparts as the UK dealers weren't interested, it was just under £90 with import duty, custom fees and carriage.
It is different to the standard auto AC controls which I believe your car has, your car could easily be converted to the later controls as it can just be all swapped out.
I posted a thread about the modification in the interior styling section.

this has been posted on lads gaz2293 commented it would fit his spec c but he already has one see below
Hi folks,
Just having a clear out after selling my Blob and I found these in the loft. I bought them one evening from eBay only to find that they didn't fit my 2004 WRX. So they have never been fitted. There are three parts included: the drink holder, the heater vents and the heater control surrounds. These are literally no use to me at all so make me an offer if you are interested
Collection welcome, otherwise I will price postage.
Cheers,
Paul.
They will actually fit mine but I already have a spare centre console because I removed the original one, Got a replacement and hacked it up so I could fit my defi controller, So if I bought this I would have to undo all the hardwork I've already done and I'd have nowhere to put my controller if I swapped for this one
It's a manual slider for the air recirculation(I think, lol),
Dave yours is different too, Your middle dial is offset from the other two...A bit lower down
