Sounds like a decent idea to me, helps get the numbers up and if we are honest once the bulk of people are parked we will get to wander round as well at that point

I don't mind Marshelling for a few hours, helping to set up etc, I have 2 HI Viz sat in my car, I also am a qualified first aider (Work Place)

I would not want to do the whole day though, as plan on spending time with Connor and rest of the family walking around etc.

I will print one off on the laser printer i have stashed at my parents (Skip diving FTW) and see if the colours are still identifiable by the greyscale tomorrow morning - if so i can print a couple of hundred out

If not i will try to run as many of them as i can on my inkjet until the carts run out

Will we be handing these to people or just putting them up for attention?

I'll be there for 10am.

I'm coming from Brighouse. If anyone needs a lift I'll be leaving about 9:15ish.

To make printing easier & downloading faster, I've converted Foxdie's .png to .pdf HERE

I can be there for then, but will that give the marshals enough time to familiarise themselves with the whole of the site?
It looks pretty big to me & we all need to know where everything is well in advance of the public arriving?

Hopefully but a few lads from wys have offered to help and are marshalling so they set up a meet. I can get there earlier but then we still have to wait for them to arrive.
Shall I tell them meet for 9.30 instead lol

It's a big area to marshal so in my opinion all the marshals should be there as early as possible.
Everyone needs to know exactly what to do & what is happening long before the public arrive.
9:30 at the Cornmill should see everyone at the venue by 10 I reckon.

James - sooner people from WYIOC and similar marshall, then baseball cap wearers who say theyll do it simply to get to come.

Really, it needs people who really want to help and who have the ability to actually make a contribution.

Ive put one fellow on who wanted to come, but I only made the suggestion because he sounded like he met the criteria.

Cruising brethren would be more help if they stayed at Huddersfield McDonalds, I think.

Also, if we are convening earlier then we need to leave Meadowhead at 8:30, rather than 9:00.

The ones I've added I've talked to and they're ok, if they're not, once we're sorted, tell them to go enjoy their day no need to insult them mate.

We agreed 10, it's going to be a long enough day already.

Thanks Busta,

I'd respectfully suggest all marshals need to meet at the venue for 10 regardless of where they are coming from.

600ish cars is a serious amount of cars to park in a short time.

All marshals need to be fully aware of all that is happening and has been organised.

I've done this kind of thing many times before, but we all need to be singing from the same songsheet.

Will all marshalls who are attending, please bring PMR466 radios if they have access to them.

Anything will do, from simple cheap eight channel PMRs from Argos, through better sets with CTSS codes, up to professional radios.

Ive been looking at the map and its too far to shout!

I will bring my set of radios, not sure if they are compatable but worth a go.

I will get my printer in motion, how many copies should I run off?
