Ideally we need a few like 3-5,numbers would be 2000+ people as the cars are 1000+
We had 3 in total but 2 have let him down so leaves 1 plus I've got another 1 lined up and yours that would bring it back to 3

I'll let him know. His setup is a trailer and a 4x4, think he will be able to park the 4x4 outside the venue so as not to take up too much space.

Should I tell him to arrive around 10 same as the marshalls?

Think he may need a licence to park on rd but we will shove him somewhere, get us a confirmation on this please. And to be there early like 10am.

I meant just his 4x4 outside and trailer inside. He does have a street vendors licence but think they are for specific areas. Will let him know the time, he is definately coming.

First, here's an overall map of the area with proposed entry and exit lanes and both green and blue areas defined;

For entry, there will be 2 lanes of vehicles that can be formed, with 3 marshals; 1 for each lane (Lane Marshals), and the third (List Marshal) for checking names in the middle.

When a car comes in, the 2 lane marshals greet the vehicle occupants and asks for their attendance name / number. Lane Marshals then ask List Marshal if the name / number is on the list, List Marshal to confirm yes / no.

If List Marshall responds yes, Lane Marshal to instruct is on the list inform them that Connor is not to be made aware of his condition and to enjoy the day, then direct them to either Area A or Area B (see map) depending on how space is (other marshals to confirm via walkie talkie). Lane Marshal also to inform people where the exit is should they wish to leave.

Perhaps we can print the main map off and hand it to people as they come in? I've kept it as an editable image, so we can add more stuff, such as burger van / toilet / first aider locations?

If List Marshal responds no, or if film crews etc, Lane Marshal to direct vehicle to rejection gate.

Obviously we need to see if we can get that white gate open, and there'll need to be signs / a marshal monitoring that no one comes in through that white gate.

Then, as people wish to leave, they exit using the below exit in a calm collected manner;

Thoughts? Revisions? Load of b****cks?

Hi jason,
just thought i would pop in and read the threads on this meet.
i know jason form ClubVR4.com
i would like to ask you all, are you planing on leaving space for people to drive in an out at any time they want to, as i would imagine people will be needing to leave at different times.

if you look at the green area, you can count less than 150 cars in the carpark. 150ish looks like it will fill all the space allowing enough room for people to drive out when they want to.
the blue area look smaller then the green area. i just don't see how you are going to fit anymore than 250-300 cars in the combined grenn and blue areas.
i have not seen the other areas mentiond that will act as extra paking. but they will have to as big again or even larger to hold the rest of the attendees.

i thought i would raise the question as it has been bothering me since i first saw the venue.

i don't mean to tread on anyones toes but you are going to have to design the parking areas very carefully.

for instance in the green area, you can only put 1 car deep around the perimiter and if you can still fit 2 rows of cars down the middle then that would give you about 200 car spaces but i don't think you will get 4 cars plus 2 access ways in the width of the green area.

i would like you to tell me you have already been there measured up and they will fit. otherwise i would repectfully suggest you do this. to ensure you can do what you want to do with the parking.

i missed the cut off for the name adding to the list so i was going to turn up anyway, obiously i would park in the event area parking, but there seems to be lots of grass vreges outside that are parkable on unless it is a clearway (no parking at all).
well i believe this is what most people will be doing if they didn't get on the list.

these are just some of my initial concerns.

Right, after a 20 min call with Busta earlier today (you know I didn't catch your RL name mate, I'm Jay btw), here's a preview of the the map (WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT USE!).

Things obviously need changing, I've totally come up with the blurb at the top left and I'm 99% sure that Kev or Scott will want to edit it.

I was thinking this could potentially be printed out and handed out on the day too?

Yep that seems the general gist of it, my names corky btw.
Also if you look on Huddersfield rd Across rd from orange park to the left a bit, there is a small car park there too to add.
And round the back of ind unit on knowle lane side there is entrance in there to small units too if people can park in there too, thoughtfully.
Thanks, then if somebody can do a rough count up if they can.
Cheers

Sneaky, Sneaky - i have it though Virgin but if for some reason your teathering fails on the day then mine is available

I would offer a spare laptop as well but as i have a very power hungry machine (Core i5, 8gb ram 1tb had etc) the battery live is useless so it would not last

Ive now contacted st johns ambulance, as its very short notice they are going to get back to me, as usually they have a paper trail to follow before they will attend. keep your fingers crossed as this will save us a major ball ache.

What are the rules in regards to crowds and medic's ratios etc ?? Is someone 100% up to speed with what is required ? So that you have no issues with insurance .

Also ... has anyone dropped a leaflet explaining whats going on to ALL the neighbours for a few blocks in all direction. REMEMBER its their home and they might have plans etc and not know anything about the day

Nothing worse than angry locals !

It does look tight on that pic

And will people be able to leave when they want or will it be so tight that you have to wait until the end of the meet?

As there wasn't room for more car park types, and the fact you stressed you want the top right to be reserved for good overflow, I've changed the type of the other two car parks to "park at own risk / visitor parking".

Added the blue area, and as discussed, kept the incorrect blue area as another potential source of parking if free.

Shortened both paddocks to allow room for super cars and bikes alike.

Rearranged amenities / first aid points to reflect first aiders / burger vans / fire service appliance (aka fire engine) locations.
