Actually it doesn't.

Both the girls involved agree they were bonking him. The allegations are essentially that he slipped the condom off, that's the offence this is all about.

Also worth noting they issued an arrest warrent, they questioned him, one of the chief prosecutors said no case to answer and the whole thing was dropped.

Eleven days later, for some reason they decide that isn't the case after all and re-issue the warrent, at the same time denying hime Swedish residency.

Having offered to be interviewed in the Swedish Embassy in London and knocked back (he absolutely must go back to Sweden for some reason even though he's already been questioned and no charges have been brought) he's ended up where he is now.

I wonder why it is that even the good old lefty Guardian doesn't quite see it that way?

The Guardian understands that the recent Swedish decision to apply for an international arrest warrant followed a decision by Assange to leave Sweden in late September and not return for a scheduled meeting when he was due to be interviewed by the prosecutor. Assange's supporters have denied this, but Assange himself told friends in London that he was supposed to return to Stockholm for a police interview during the week beginning 11 October, and that he had decided to stay away. Prosecution documents seen by the Guardian record that he was due to be interviewed on 14 October.
The co-ordinator of the WikiLeaks group in Stockholm, who is a close colleague of Assange and who also knows both women, told the Guardian: "This is a normal police investigation. Let the police find out what actually happened. Of course, the enemies of WikiLeaks may try to use this, but it begins with the two women and Julian. It is not the CIA sending a woman in a short skirt."

Perhaps it has somethign to do with the refusal of the residency permit in October?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11570283

The Guardian comment you've posted refers to the secnd time the warrent was issued. What do they have to say about the fact the first one was recinded?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11049316

The Swedish Prosecution Authority website said chief prosecutor Eva Finne had come to the decision that Julian Assange was not subject to arrest.

In a brief statement Eva Finne said: "I don't think there is reason to suspect that he has committed rape."

The website said there would be no further immediate comment.
That said, it does note this is the rape charge not the molestation one but since it's all interrelated there isn't much difference.

Unlike Assange, ***** Riot have not killed anyone, be it inadvertantly by releasing names and actions in their WikiLeaks "leaks".

It was interesting how he suddely got evasive in the documentray that was done on him, even his colleagues acknowledged his arrogance and self centred aims. I think it was on Ch4 a few months ago.

Anyway back to ***** Riot.

There might be but would it be cause for a trial?

When Peter Tatchell kicked off in a Cathedral about gay bishops some years ago it went to trial.
