Man buys Scoob, mapped by Engine Tuner, too stubborn to take it to Alan and the boys coz he believes his friend's uncle's dog that they aren't as competent as first owner who's a whizz with a screwdriver but can't prove anything so just keeps repeating himself!

Alan keeps calm and carries on as normal generating even more business

Close?

Dont forget the man who bought a 200SX from a man who knew a man, who drank with a man who heard that AJ may have been in the same postal code as a Nissan that might have gone pop on the rollers. Or not.

Yeah that's got it!

I feel sorry for AJ having to put up with this tripe, JME appears to have no idea of the trials and tribulations of engine tuning and probably thinks dynamic CR is the same as static CR!

im really not taking anyones side

but to moan about work done when a previous owner had the car, and a reasonable amount of time has since passed, holds no water imo.

like i said before if it was me, and i had concern, idve taken back to ET, remiended them they mapped it and asked them to investigate the problem. and go from there.

air your grievences with them face to face - if then you receive p*ss poor service then your free to report

a friend of a friends brothers, pals opinion counts for sh*t, just my 2p.

FWIW harvey told me exact same with regard to mapping on old simtek from stone cold atleast twice, and to me made perfect sense to me. Harveys no bullsh*tter, and always told it like it was (albeit sometimes bluntley) but he wanted his customers to go away happy - at end of the day who wants come back problems?

serving my time - a comeback was frowned upon, we had a monthly comeback award of shame - not something anyone wanted lol

well to be fair guys i have left this thread for others to comment..similar to alans..

M.O

i do have some thoughts to share though, and id like to start with sharing this qoute from alan..

OK, I've had my pasta bolly now, so I'll tell you all about "The S13"

The dipstick refers to it here, amongst other places.

"what more do you need to know about the s13 and its issues? it popped on the dyno after being pushed to far by the mapper, end of."

Martyn took the trouble to speak this evening to Gary, who runs the 200SX owners club dyno days.
Gary was there in 2008, and reminded Martyn of the following;
A Scottish chap owned the car, he was around 28 or so. It was lined up with a load of other S13's. When Martyn backed the car in, our Ben passed comment to him on how rough the engine was sounding. Martyn listened to it, then suggested that it wasn't run on account of clear big end noise.
The guy laughed it off, then said "go on, it doesn't matter, I'm fitting a forged motor soon" and then, "wind up the boost a bit, I want to see what it does!"
Martyn obliged. When it left, unsurprisingly it made even more noise than when it arrived! The owner couldn't give a monkey's.
Now, to the bystander, (dipstick's mate) it may well have sounded like we'd done the motor in, but of course he wasn't privy to what actually happened.

Whatever, I'm beginning to get a bit tired of this prat, and it's time he shut up now.

firstly, that is simlar to the story i heard from the bystander but still way off, will wait for my comments to be clarified on that..
and seeing as the opinion of using "hearsay" is not one widely accepted by members on here, and after lecturing me about using the same way to pass on information.
i would kindly now like to take my position firmly on the moral highground and call u an absolute hippocrite!

however i must admit, youre above post has been cleverly worded, along with your others, easy to miss certain phrases when just being casually read.

just from the above..

"he reminded martyn of the following"
,(wouldnt be the best statement to start with as a basic of your defence on said subject).
"our ben passed comment".

i have been consistently ridiculed on this thread by yourself and others for using "hearsay" as a basis for a comment here, but youve done the same and its ok for you to do it,but not me...

yes i did put up posts about AJs reputaion,am i not allowed to do so?

down here in the southwest alans reputation isnt as shiny as it is here on the forums.
ET started from a small outfit and grew.
and from what alan has said previously, possibly cannot meet customer demands,as they have such a high workload haha.

as i live in plymouth,i would say ive heard more about engine tuner than 85% of the members on here.
do i have to go into when you started your business alan and all the horror stories about you when you first got into jap tuning?..
and the cars that never made it to the end of valley road, let alone got your well fix it for free treatment??

I'd also like to make some statements about your character from my own opinion.

and not just from your post on this thread.

ive witnessed quite a few of your posts..
you seem to come on early morning and come across in your posts as:

big headed

egotistical,(like you need the comments)

sarcastic

and goddamn arrogant among others,..

along with your comments, you have used your "status" and "reputation" on scoobybet to try and bully me and get the followers on here to take your side..
which only proves that although you can use big words and manipulate people with great skill you actually hold no intellectual acumen or gravitas
and the majority of people who have qouted on this thread feel the need to find solice joining the other sheeple in your campaign to silence me.

you use your position like a pedestal, where you throw titbits to your loyal followers who slurp it up like little chicks,so that you can feel better about being a 60 year old male who actually has no role running his own company anymore,as you dont do the majority of work or mapping..martynj and others do..
like you say,you spend hours a day, giving advice..

and spend hours a day keeping up your internet business prospects because no-one who knows you locally will use you..

and where is he?martynj?thought he would have posted by now, especially as he resorted to pm before to resolve a complaint..before it went public.

although no doubt he will appear now ive mentioned it.

I have never used EngineTuner however when I bought my Type R from Plymouth it had a ET map & it was running sweet. The car also had Simtek & with similar idle problems, I used 3 different mappers & it could not be rectified as it's a ECU problem.

I have spoken to ET a few times & they come across very helpful, unlike many other tuners.

Can I ask you jme-rst what your intentions were/are?. You bought said car x amount of time ago knowing there was a problem. Yet you haven't taken it to et and you say the other garage in your area is nightmare. Youve made no attempt to rectify the fault which to me says it's liveable.

So to recap you bought a car with receipts to say it had been worked on by a garage YOU HEAR is a nightmare but then say you wouldn't let Et near your car??

Here you have the chance to have your car fixed and to put things right. Why not arrange to drop your car off half an hour before Et opens, post the keys and pick it up next day at the same time. You have a public audience now, Et have the chance to put things right, you have the chance to have your car running better than it is now.

You are choosing to believe person x who you've never met rather than see for yourself.

^^ I think you kind of asked for it, due to the stupidity of your argument.

i would kindly now like to take my position firmly on the moral highground and call u an absolute hippocrite!
^^ You've not really got anything firm you can stand on, least of all morality.
i have been consistently ridiculed on this thread by yourself and others for using "hearsay" as a basis for a comment here, but youve done the same and its ok for you to do it,but not me...
^^Again you slated someones reputation based on nothing more than rummer, wether or not it's true will come out in the wash, but the fault/problem you complaining about is a well documented ECU problem.

yes i did put up posts about AJs reputaion,am i not allowed to do so?
^^Yes you are, but it would be better if it was from personal experience

ET started from a small outfit and grew.
^^Everyone has to start somewhere.

ive witnessed quite a few of your posts..
you seem to come on early morning and come across in your posts as:

big headed

egotistical,(like you need the comments)

^^The first statement of fact that you have made.

along with your comments, you have used your "status" and "reputation" on scoobybet to try and bully me and get the followers on here to take your side..
^^I don't think anyone has bullied you, you just made yourself look an idiot, and some people took the p1ss, not sure what you would expect, based on your complaint, and the manner in which you aired it.

which only proves that although you can use big words and manipulate people with great skill you actually hold no intellectual acumen or gravitas
and the majority of people who have qouted on this thread feel the need to find solice joining the other sheeple in your campaign to silence me.
^^I'd say starting a thread to allow you to air your grivence in public is hardly an attempt to silence you.

^^And AJ is no interlectual, but does posses a certain amount of gravity ***. apparently it comes with age.

you use your position like a pedestal, where you throw titbits to your loyal followers who slurp it up like little chicks,so that you can feel better about being a 60 year old male who actually has no role running his own company anymore,as you dont do the majority of work or mapping..martynj and others do..
like you say,you spend hours a day, giving advice..

and spend hours a day keeping up your internet business prospects because no-one who knows you locally will use you..
^^Lol all hail the king, do you think there is any loyalty on scoobynet
This lot are like a pack of hounds.

and where is he?martynj?thought he would have posted by now, especially as he resorted to pm before to resolve a complaint..before it went public.

although no doubt he will appear now ive mentioned it.
^^He's probably busy, and got better things to do, so lets the senile old codger battle the trolls.

As previously stated, i am not on anyones side, this is the internet, and open to everyone, but if your going to attack hard working well respected people that have built a business from the ground up, with all the work trials and tribulations that that involves, and try and tarnish that without cold hard facts, then expect people to jump on you, simples.

As for Alans personality, do you not realise the kind of character it takes to build a business successfully, SELF BELIEF is key, so you kind of need to be full of yourself, and a bit of an arrogant ar$e to get anywhere, something with which i have no problem with as i am one too, and i think if you take a look in the mirror you will see one staring back at you, embrace it learn to live with it and use it as an asset, not a stick to beat others and make your self look a D1ck.

Seem some crazy threads over the years and this is one of them at the top

You bought a second hand car which had faults that you knew about ?
You then proceed to publically humiliate and post information about a well respected tuner
Why did you not take the car to him direct before posting ?
Why did you not try to get a refund from the seller ,ah you knew there was faults !
I can understand if you had a problem after et tried and failed to fix it ,but not even to take it to them well I'm confused as you are listening to story's from years ago
What you have posted is potential libel and you still continue ,now going on about when the business was started ,probably when you were still at school

And no I'm not one of et sheep or follower but read about many happy story's about him as one of the most respected tuners and engine builders in the country

If you understand why you are getting ridiculed, why do you keep coming back without any facts, still spouting hearsay?

The thread will just keep going round and round in circles until either:

1. You come back with some facts
2. You make an even bigger fool of yourself and the mods kill it

Do yourself a favour and accept that you don't have a leg to stand on (yet), and the reason the thread is getting so big is because people are laughing at you.

The ironic thing about this is that JME-RST has set out to cause problems for engine tuner by spouting rubbish but all it has done is create a thread with over 4000 views in which 99.9% of people have nothing but praise for ET.

In fact i would say it has done nothing but promote how good ET are so it has backfired, free adveritisng for ET and nothing but positive reviews throughout this thread except for your own.
