The current livaboards are up in arms because they are being forced to pay the tax ( i live in a house now)

- mate who lives aboard still had a heart attack ten year ago middle of the night and of course an ambulance turned up , funnily enough he doesnt complain about the tax

1900 quid a year is quite a chunk tho - you mus be well posh

3.

Insurance for all 3 is about 50 a month alone.

My dog trainer has 11 dogs and spends about 250 a month just on food.

Area must come into premium prices...Labour rates for full house rebuild here compared to London say, would be hugely different..

We are currently with the post office for our home/contents so maybe worth a try,or go on a comparison site..

I have a friend who more or less constantly has £60k of hifi in his home, which he insures with his home insurance, but is seperatly detailed and his premium is just under £600

Thanks.

I'm going to dig my policy out tommorrow and see what exactly is covered and for how much. Perhaps I am over insured?

Mortgage - £5328
Gas/Electric - somewhere around £1300 at a rough guess
Water - about £250
TV license - £150
Sky tv/phone/broadband - £660
Council tax - around £1250
Home insurance - about £300

So about £3910 without mortgage £9238 with. The missus is to blame for high phone bill, and she has the heating on all day at around 22 degrees. Will also be ditching Sky HD soon which will save me around £120.

Adding to all that are bank loans, credit cards, vet bills (4 cats, 1 dog, 3 guinea pigs and a rabbit), car insurances/mots/petrol/tax etc..., food, dental bills, mobile phone etc.....
