Ah well yes the ones you find in the Apple shop are scary. I find my ipad and iphone excellent gadgets but i'm no way comparable to those freaks you find quueing up days before a new phone or ipad is released.

So you'll be surprised to know that it is possible to really like your Apple gadgets without being one of those Apple worshipping freaks. I find going into an Apple store quite an odd experience as it's where those extremist loons seem to spend all their lives.

Can't see why he needs all that information to do his particular job. I would have thought his standard of knowledge is adequate as the programme presenter. None of the others seem to need one.

If it was so necessary of course he could have a desktop on a sack trolley and a little trailer with a power unit and a man to push it around. No expense would be spared! Or even a laptop to lug around of course.

Murray Walker had all the knowledge in his head, and he still has too.

Don't be fooled Les, they're all fed information - even Murray - and why not have as much as you can, more the better I say and all in the palm of your hand.

DICTIONARY.com says....

m·mi·nent   [im-uh-nuhnt] Show IPA
adjective
1.
likely to occur at any moment; impending: Her death is imminent.
2.
projecting or leaning forward; overhanging.
Origin:
1520–30; < Latin imminent- (stem of imminēns ), present participle of imminēre to overhang, equivalent to im- im-1 + -min- from a base meaning “jut out, project, rise” ( compare eminent, mount2 ) + -ent- -ent

So there would appear to be a wide ranging time scale between "any moment" and "happen soon".... which no one is able to properly define.
