More Apple hype

Hype tripe
Funny thing is the people who defend Apple products who have been royally ripped off by the pricing, like loosing on the action replay of the Grand National.
No wonder Steve Jobbs is worth a fortune! Seems you can fool some of the people all of the time.

Hmm must be a spell checker in the Apple products so gullible $wats can feel superior!
Get a life, you are really a very stupid person to support premium pricing on a product that is made in a Korean sweatshop to produce huge profits.
You are so pent up with this $hit you cannot see that you are the exploited, along with the underpaid workers who make this overpriced overblown product make untenable profit margins.

Spec has got nothing to do with it. I don't even know the spec and I don't need to know. It simply works as it should and is lightening fast, instant even.
If I ever feel the need to constantly battle against viruses i'll get myself a PC but at the minute I just can't be arsed

And if by buying an "overpriced" product i get something that actually works and that makes me a fool, then at least i'm a happy fool.
Please inform me of a product that does not incorporate a healthy profit margin for the manufacturer.
And i don't think bill gates could be described as a pauper..

And there lies an issue, you talk about "this years model pc" but that could be one of a bazzilion different models. If you walked into PC World and bought a PC Laptop and a Macbook I can assure you that you'd be happier with the Mac and it would instantly out perform it's competition.
What you're probably talking about is a super geeky IBM - I Built it Myself - that you've spent hours speccing and configuring and will continue to do so, a hobby in fact, Mac's work out of the box, the majority of people won't ever need to install any software, that's quite a value.

Jealous of Mac performance, in your head!
Oh, and it cost half the asking price of a 13" screen mac book, battery life you say? Yes my laptop has an extra large number of cells and two graphics cards, one for mains and the second for battery power.
Now get a life and get real!

Slugmeister, I suggest you visit Apple.com and take a look at the specs. Even my old Macbook matches the specs you list. Yes it was expensive, but it's a timeless work of art where yours is no doubt a cheap piece of plastic that was replaced by the manufacturer a few weeks after release. You get nothing for nothing in this world, I prefer my goods to be reassuringly expensive.

Do Apple make a quad core version on the Mac book, er probably not. I travel for a living so a decent laptop is a must. I use a 17" screen quad core 8Gb memory machine with a 500Gb hybrid hard disk, part SSD and 7200 rpm platter speed.
Jealous of Mac performance, in your head!

So long as you are happy
Strangely I work with Germans and Eastern Europeans, was in Bucharest for a meeting and a warm up from chilly Scottish climate this week. Out came the obligatory macbook air from one of the office staff. The Romanians are paid a quarter of the Western pay levels, maybe they can spell better. But hey I trained as an engineer, so numbers and four languages are more use than being a pedant Troll.
I see a lot of Mac stuff, but not as a total percentage of the big picture. Strangely a good percentages of the Mac's have a windows partition on them!
I buy a new laptop every two years, as transit vibration tends to put paid to them prematurely, so am never too far from current specs, but not obsessive about it. I do not see the value in buying a 17" mac book, if it exists?

What's price got to do with it? Do you tell people that have a more expensive car then you they've been ripped off because you wouldn't buy one. But the need to tell people they've been "ripped off" is a tad little bit weird and bit of a green eye syndrome.
I work hard for my money and if I want to spend a £1k+ On MacBook then I will. I understand some people don't have that Spare cash to spend.
You'll have to upgrade your laptop before I do My MacBook.
You go on about being made in Korea where do you think all your parts are
Coming from and do you honestly expect hp didn't make a tidy profit on your laptop

Wear and tear
Well, if you think a machine costing almost three times as much will pass the bouncy Eastern Europe road test and the 6 flights a month overhead locker vibration test, than thats great. And if it does will be on my third generation machine and still better off.
Moore's law, every year you get more for less, but you have to wait 6 years to get 4 years behind again!
You are just such a winner!

Here's something to chew on, my 5 year old Macbook was stolen at the end of last year. I paid £1000 for it, the insurance paid out £500.
You pay £600 for a laptop that by your own admission is end of life after 2 years.
Do the math.

Why do I have to wait 6 years
I don't mind spending that money on quality products to be honest the build quality on the macbook pro I can say it will handle all that pretty well.
The irony is if the MacBook pro was the same price as the hp thing you bought , you'd pick the MacBook it's just because its out of your acceptable price range.
Like anything really , you get what you pay for like cheap components in a HP laptop.

Oh no your argument sunk long ago, your Macbook costs three times the Aluminium cased H.P. that has served me well for a year now.
There is none so blind as those who cannot see!
It is obsolescent as soon as you buy it, in reality, so there is no value in being ripped off for three times the price, as it will be obsolete just as fast as the HP, but I can look forward to a speedier replacement, while you feel that you can blag on until you bore the $its off everyone about Apple representing a life choice product. My $rse!

you keep thinking that.
Dont worry if you work hard enough you could join team apple and not buy lesser products.
But it's ok you just keep brushing over the valid points. Where they're made, jacks point of your idiotic 2 yr theory or hp are making a tidy profit and the fact your laptop is already outdated with a **** CPU inside.
So jog on flower
