I have used 3 of the big named places and they all used 10w50 or 15w50. RCM use the Fuchs Titan Race 15w50 Pro R. But I have just moved to the Fuchs 10w50 Pro S. Not noticed much cold difference though. Lol.

Does 15w-40 semi synth actually exist?
The only 15w-40 grades I've ever seen have been mineral oils. (although I guess with modern pseudo branding/marketing a mineral oil with added viscosity enchancer = semi synthetic
)

All they have to do to call it a semi synthetic is throw in some hydrocracked group III mineral base stock. They can put what ever percentage in they like. So it could be 5% hydrocracked mineral oil and 95% boggo mineral oil = semi synthetic.
