First job today was to get the heat into the spray bay then set too with Dave with the panel wipe and to key the old tired paintwork



Then to blow the dust away ready for another panel wipe ready for paint



After mixing the paint and papers on it was time for Dave to start

 

First coat on time for a dry then start again



Finished cant wait to get the new engine and gearbox in







A big thank you to my mate Dave very happy with the turn out under the circumstances

 

Just need for it to dry and remove all masking then to refit lights and bonnet ready for a long haul down to engine tuner .

All painted ready to load into van and take to engine tuner on Friday just rear brembos to paint black and rear hubs to paint silver then load up and off we go

 

Engine bay now de bagged , car is now ready for trailer after a quick clean, then to load the van up ready for a long road trip down to engine tuner.

 

I bet you cant wait to run it now. Looking good

Now that was a long journey !, held up on the M5 around Bristol but apart from that a great journey and well worth it . We met Alan and was greeted by a cup of tea and a walk around the premises , I saw my completed block for the first time as was happy at what I saw.
I had a pm on Scooby net from a member who wanted a favour of taking a block down to ET which I dropped off for him.
A change of plan cosworth pistons and cosworth rods are now installed .

We dropped off my complete engine to be dismantled and varies parts used ,car was off the trailer and position in Alans workshop time to find the hotel as it had been a very long day, a few beers with Craig and Dave a bite to eat and bed .

Been busy with my van turning it into a service barge

And purchased a new skid lid and new fire proof overalls safety is paramount in my eyes with the extra power il be running thought it only necessary

I hasten to add I had 2 t shirts and a hoody on that's why I look a little portly !!!

No.....but silly not too....I need to upgrade Seats etc and will be purchasing one then.

 

Service part done now for the hospitality suite !! Need to provide the lads with some cold liquid refreshment whilst we're away all weekend ! Haha

 

Nice tranny, double mattress passion wagon to be fitted on the other side of the partition

 

Just a fridge and a couple of bench seats you could get locked up with a mattress in the back of a tranny van !!!
