Bugs look so much better with those daft side markers smoothed over

Seriously thinking of trading up to a bug from my classic......

When I stop spending the respray money I don't have

Flocked centre console arrived back today so should fit that tomorrow, finish flushing the welding work Saturday and then hopefully through the MOT next week

Then start thinking about when I'll have all the money together for the paint job - reminds me, must get a quote

Hopefully get a few more pics up over the weekend:

Flocked centre console and stereo surround to go with the dash, got it back today and it looks spot on - big up to Oh-Flock for that

And should finish filling and smoothing over the welds so some pics of that

Flocked dash is in, a couple of scratches in the flock as a result of the centre console being extremely tight between the Sparcos

Still looks good. Only other issue is my PSI3 seems to be playing up.

Oh, and the PSI3 is fixed

Stripped it down and found the build quality wasn't brilliant. The soldering on the PCB was good enough, but the final clean wasn't up to my standards with plenty of flux left around the solder joints. Cleaned all that up, continuity checked the lead to the data port and the flex cable inside the box. Re-assembled and hey presto it now works again

Do you find it gets a little boring all that filling/sanding/filling/sanding......... I did, the end result will be worth it though

I've learnt the art of skimming the filler on thin enough that it doesn't need much sanding, plus I use 60 grade for fibre glass, an orbital sander for the course cut back of the filler and then wet and dry to finish it off
