On my bug, I've used a total of 4 speedos lol. All have been fine in terms of idle and speed. You must have a faulty set Jon. I've had a prodrive bug STi7, a STi8 from
a blob and now my RB320 ones. Was finding the one with closest mileage, reason I bought 2 of the blue ones

Car has just been picked up for the final detail now that the paint has had time to properly harden. Also going back is Jura's bonnet which looks a little different fitted to my car...

While it's there the new Brembos are going to be refurbed and fitted, this is the before picture...

And ready to go...

Based upon the initial feedback there's one or two little extra jobs that will just finish the car off, but I expect it to be even better than before when I pick it up in 2 weeks time.

In the meantime, anyone after some 4-pots with DBA wiper slot discs and mintex pads, or 2-pot rears with CRN grooved discs and new (brand TBC) pads. Offers on a postcard

Didn't think you would.

I got looks like them when I took the kids on holiday in it with the roofbox fitted, the best look though was the driver of the porsche boxter - in my rear view mirror

You'll have to let me know what the trim is like after you take the roof bars off, if there's no marks I may keep them but if they have marked the trim I'll consider getting rid after I bring all of the stuff back

The latest set of pics with the new brakes fitted, it has had its final polish but the weather's a bit cr@p so I've not given it a wipe since I drove it back. When the weather improves I'll get some proper photo's...

Just need to adjust the hand-brake a bit now it's bedding in, all the slack has been taken up on the in-car adjuster so I'll back that off and wind up the shoes

It just rinsed off, need to look for some different pads - I've never been a huge fan of Mintex pads as they always seem very dusty.

I did put some sealant on the inside to aid cleaning so hopefully they will be easier to clean from on mate.
Your camera does take an awesone picture though and shows off the car very well.

Yes mate, there was another element to the lens that I had forgotten to fit and it now works a treat again

The next stage - coilovers

This is the car with half a tonne of compost in the boot - but it does make me wonder

Finally - when the car came back from the bodyshop there was an issue with the sealant that Ryan hadn't used in the past and it would react every time I washed the car. The paint on the bonnet, boot and roof vent would appear satin for a few days almost like it had absorbed the water and needed to dry out. Washed the car yesterday morning, first time since Ryan has detailed it and changed the sealant and problem has gone away

The question is though, for the extra 5-10mm drop do I really want to lose what is a firm but comfortable drive.

#1 - finish the interior - bit of carbon wrap, little bit more flocking, fit the blob dials
#2 - rear diffuser
#3 - turbo and sort under the bonnet
#4 - under-pinnings and 'ahem' coilovers

Turbo i would recommend you only VF34 if you will find one for good price,if not VF35 should be OK for your needs,18G not sure Jon,tried once on WRX and not very impressed

Rear diffuser, contact Aerokit.eu these guys are great and really good price for diffuser, just they will make from carbon

Coilovers,we are thinking sell our one(we are looking for Nitron 2 way),they done 3k miles at most

Blob dials,if you looking for JDM defi style we still have for sale

Rear diffuser is sorted - just need to clear out some old stuff

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2509895739...#ht_589wt_1110

I've already got my dials in the garage ready to go, and everything else will have to wait until after the Olympics probably
