There was an impreza touring car on the used car market a few days ago for £250,000, have seen a few decent race cars on there.

Most expensive i saw was a 1960's Ford GT on for 17,000,000.

So what's the consensus so far then? Better than the Forza games?

Not that I can go out and buy it anyway... I reckon it'll be a Christmas present!

I got bronze on that one last night because every time I lift or brake the car goes sideways and out of control, add that to the fact you can't see and it's a recipe for disaster

You can adjust the settings once your driving. Hit pause and then go to the driving settings and you can adjust the brightness to +1 (i think).

Makes things a bit easier to see

So is the general consensus that its a worthwhile purchase?

I bought prologue and whilst it was visually stunning it didnt seem that involving or much of a leap in terms of gameplay over GT4. I've loved playing grid but not sure if gt5 is worth a punt?

The new mclaren is better than the veyron once tuned it is just as quick and handling is way better. Cheaper than most supercars too!

same here, i gave up in the end and left it at bronze. finally got the gold in the top gear lotus challenge though which i was chuffed about as there seems to have been a few people on the net who've been struggling with it so far.

It is certainly a worth while purchase.... but for an actual driving game / content, do not expect anything over and above Forza 3 imo!

The visuals are great, but after 30mins that will wear off and you will be more interested in content (or lack of lol) that you get as a game. The number of cars is worthless in my view and I would exchange 3/4's of the total cars, with more and varied tracks.

The last top gear challenge is interesting, the motors have a max top speed of 50mph and where the track crosses you have other cars which you have to dodge as they cross your path.

Just done gold on all the Sebastion Loeb challenges which took me a while, struggling a bit with the rallying side of the game.

Smoothness is key.... just like a proper car.

Decellerate smoothly and brake gently (at first).... you will improve your driving control with that car no end and memorise the track (it is not that long).

Not sure what I managed first time ever on that event, but I ended up with a bronze. Just gave it a second go based on the posts in here and just got 3rd place, just off getting 2nd. With a bit more practice I can see myself achieving a Silver (2nd place) at least.

It's only available after you've won a gold in the camper van race in the specials.
