The Ashes Thread

I also think as with all England teams in what ever the sport they got complacent once again. To have them at 69-5 and then let them get 268 is just not good enough when you are on the point of being able to retain the Ashes. In cricket we don't kill teams off from strong positions and it's just the same in football. Our teams lack that killer instinct to finish opponents off and apply the pressure. You didn't see the Aussies sit back and let our tail end wag, they went in and finished the job properly.

The statistics are against us at this ground though aren't they. we haven't won here since the 1920's I think? Small consolation but a B2Z said, we shouldn't have let them hang around so long.
Ponting is having a shocking series with the bat (glove) isn't he
If they lose this match (a big IF) do you think the ego of "horny" Warne would resist the temptation to return if he was asked?

Not long to go
I had a ticket for this match and had to give it up, I'm insanely jealous of my mate Troy who's going
Let's hope we can ruin the day for the Aussies, again !!
One day I wil fulfill this lifelong ambition of a Boxing day Ashes test at he MCG

Yeah not long and I'm really looking forward to the win that will wrap up the series. I'm convinced that we've been the better side overall and Cookie will get the man of the series award!
The sherminator is due another series defining failure again surely, all this talk of bumping him up the order is just playing into my hands LOL

It's a bit bluddy **** clenching - KP was bluddy lucky there.
We are now playing like the Aussies - too much waving of the bat outside the off stump!!
Corker of a delivery for Strauss though!
