I see the suns out now.

There are some great jokes on the Beeb TMS site.

What do you call an Aussie with a bottle of champagne?

A waiter!

Etc, etc.

Amazing result. If you'd suggested that before the series began most sane people would have laughed at you.

Man of the match & series was thoroughly deserved ;-)

What makes the win so much sweeter is that it's due in large part to an Aussie! Peter Saker the bowling coach has really helped us get to where we are today.

Still worried about the tail wagging as B2Z says but that will come.

Don't normally hold out much hope in the world cup, we just don't seem to do as well in the short format BUT I was proved wrong with the pyjama world cup wasn't I.

Two I liked from last night...

At least Australia are left with two world class spinners - the funnel web and the redback...

...and did you hear that the Aussies couldn't get any wine to drink during the Test Matches because they didn't have any openers...

What do you call an Australian with a Bat in his hand, a Vet

Well I'm £100 lighter due to my foul up on the Hills site but still chuffed I plumped for 3-1

So was this better than 2005 ?

It is such a hard call, we beat the best Aussie side ever in 2005 but the manner of this series win was something else, possibly the best series I have witnessed from the England Cricket team in 34 years of watching them in the respect to how they played throughout the team, no one failed.

No one has ever crushed an Australian side so convincingly on Aussie soil in the history of the game, we should be rightly proud.

The other plus is we have good quality players waiting to get into this side, I'm not getting caught up in the emotion of this win when I say this could be our era to dominate Test cricket, I really believe that and have believed for quite a few years as we have steadily improved year on year.

Long may it continue

What about the so-called "bodyline" series?

No one has won three tests in an away series by an innings, only India have managed it, against Bangladesh, enough said

Hoping we can make it 9 T20 wins in a row and extend out latest world record

Well KP has not helped our cause this morning.

Although Collingwood looked like he was settling in for the day, before he was out which will probably be a good thing. It's looking a little tight as we are not finding the rope.

I Like the idea of this and I'm pretty sure it will happen knowing Australians, they dont get caught up in as much red tape as we do.
