You're never going to see it once its fitted anyway. It will be hidden under the timing belt covers. Its function thats important here. But here is a couple pics of the cosworth item fitted (apparently with a kevlar belt too):-

And one with a non kevlar belt:-

The belt guide is there to do as it says on the tin. Guide the belt where it should go without jumping and skipping teeth on the belt.
The guide is set very close to the belt, I forget the gap off the top of my head, but its feeler gauge stuff.
The cosworth item is made from billet alloy as opposed to thin sheet like the oe item. The oe item can flex is the belt tries to "jump" where as the billet item it more likely to stay in place and stop the belt from "jumping".
If the timing is out it can result in engine damage so its all about safety for the engine.

Here we go everyone, these will fit all belts fine.
They will be ready and hard anodized in 7-10 working days.
If you would like to start making payments you can do so.
Please send paypal payments either as a gift or add 3% to info@cdfracing.co.uk
You can of course phone the number below or send cheques to " CDF RACING LTD" To the address on our website

im in then. could some1 add me to the list please? also can you fit these yourself or would it be better to get a mechanic to do it?
So it will be a matter of removing altenator/ p/s belt/ aircon belt, removing bottom crank pulley so you can remove the centre timing cover, thats it you have access to it then.

No one knows your capabilities so hard to say get mechanic or do yourself, but it is straight forward, only potential trouble maker is getting crank pulley off,
So it will be a matter of removing altenator/ p/s belt/ aircon belt, removing bottom crank pulley so you can remove the centre timing cover, thats it you have access to it then.

Chris, I'll call you in the next couple of days - can I pay for the 6 speed quickshift at the same time? I'm in no rush for the belt guide so I'm happy for you to despatch them both at the same time.

Guys, the 6 speeds won't be ready for a while,... I have a lot of working out to do with them so I would rather not take any payments for these ones just yet, also I am away the end of this month so really dont know when the 6 speeds will be ready
