Well I bet you can't move your right foot continuously in a clockwise circular motion and then at the same time draw the figure number six with your right hand in the air. I guarantee your right foot will instantly move counter clockwise.

It does make snse but the word "god" is an incorrect label, species dying out is a product of natural selection, i.e survival of the fittest, the planet we live on is a result if physics, not a single entity called "god" in the bible god appears to a number of people, how come he has never done this since, and one more point to ponder:
if god made me then why did he make me an athiest? why did he make a muslim believe in allah or did allah make the muslims and "god" only make the christians?
and the jews believe the earth to be only 5000 years old, does anyone belive that is actually true, in years gone by when there was no science i can understand how someone would believe that as they didn't know any better, we now have evidence that the earth is many millions of years old, verified by many different methods all yealding very similar results.
apparently believing the earth is only 5000 years old is equal to believing the distance between sanfrancisco and new york is something like 96 yards, anyone believe the distance between those 2 places is 96 yards please show yourselves

What if God did make the earth 5000 years ago but in a pre existing state? He said "let there be..." and it was. When 'it' was made it was as it was, in its physically mature form. Through evidence, theories and science we can work out how long it would have taken if the earth started from its infancy. If God made us to have a relationship with him why not just skip to the part where he created man to start with, say in 6 days or something like that?
Im not saying this is what did happen as I don't know. There is also debate as to the original translations of what a "day" actually meant. Im just throwing in a highly plausible explanation for those who still think that science is the be all and end all. Do people still think that God is confined by science?

It was Hawking’s The Grand Design that finally pushed me from atheism to philosophical deism. Neither my head nor my heart could accept m-theory and the infinite regress of the multiverse. I got it, I really did, and I absolutely understood the charge that we are simply the winners of a cosmic lottery. And then I met Jesus. When one knows the love of the Christ and the miracle of redemption, when one sees and hears and feels the Godman in their life and the perfection of the Trinity, the question of ones origin is answered.
I am a born again Christian first, a follower of Jesus, and when asked about that which God has revealed to us through the scientific method I class myself as an evolutionary creationist.
There is no dichotomy, no Christianity v. science. There is one universal truth. I thank our Father in heaven for creating Professor Hawking and I pray that, like the thief on the Cross, the latter’s heart was softened at the 11th hour. If not, and when the mind of God is finally revealed to Professor Hawking, I ask that in wrath that mind remembers mercy.
For His name’s sake.

Yep, only one where he gave his life. Only one where by grace we are saved. Only one where forgiveness and our place in heaven is assured, not by our own strength and actions but by what he has done...out of all those other gods.

This was....is a pretty epic thread, reading through the old posts has been an eye opener and a great reminder of how we challenged the old grey matter....shame we don't have more of these where a good relatively civil debate could be had...
