He has to resort to that kind of thing because he has no argument or proof to the contrary. Very revealing however!
Les
Fair enough, Les. I guess some people are left so indignant in response to reading what they perceive to be delusional anecdotes that they feel compelled to take the p1ss. I get that, actually. Surely if SRSport is going to argue that his faith is the literal Pirsca Theologica he needs to employ eloquent and compelling argument. Unfortunately he presents as an enemy of reason against a back drop of demonstrable and gargantuan ignorance.
Given that you've consistently (and understandably) taken a deist's stance, I remain intrigued as to whether you'll be reading The Grand Design. You've said time and again that "they don't Know how it all started though, do they?", well, this book presents the cutting edge of scientific thought regarding primum movens. I'm sure you'll be desperate to read the offering if only to build a credible counter argument and to avoid having to join SRSport's 'team ignorant'.
There was an incident not long ago where a certain natural disaster took place many many people from other religions were wiped out, many Christians were on a hill at the time and were fine. This sort of thing is not widely publicised, why, maybe as not to offend or maybe because they cant prove that it wasn't chance. Its a shame as once you start to piece these 'chances' together, where Christianity is involved things seem to look a little less like chance.
Thats just what Ive noticed and my thoughts anyway.
Hmmm.... a God that is vengeful and vindictive even to this day!....how nice! So much for this so called loving and forgiving God.
Why am I being asked to provide eloquent and compelling arguments, by which I take it you mean proof, when all I get back in return are insults and suggestions that I am mentally ill? The problem is I am not mentally ill and as this is by far the most preferred method of undermining what I say where does it leave what I am saying?

I wont be arguing my faith is the Prisca Theologica by using any more elequent or compelling arguments than what I am saying already as I am just stating my experiences and limited knowledge of the Bible. Make up your own minds, I doubt very much I would be able to change peoples minds to be honest if they dont believe in God, more often than not it is God that will do that in peoples hearts or revlation. He did that to me years ago (in answer to someone elses "challenge") through very specific passages in the Bible that were direct answers to questions I had and situations I were going through in my life at that time.
Can you point us to the exact incident? The Tsunami hit a pretty wide range of areas.
This was along time ago so no. To be honest I see many things happen that are more fantastic than this. Its not such an isolated incident that I get so excited that I write all the details down, to refer back to later. Its more along the lines of well yes, of course and move on giving thanks to God.

response to edit: the original question. I would still like to know where that picture was taken though. I assume the poster knows.

If I was to see things like that I'm sure I would take a bit more note! It wold be intersesting to hear the source of these stories.
They don't appear to be in main-stream media, so I would be willing to bet they are in something that already believes whoeheartedly in it?
For all the stories of people being saved by prayer, you don't hear all the people who weren't. It's called the 'God Ratio'. Unfortunately, millions more people die who prayed to be saved than those few who survived. That is just statistical probability I'm afraid.

How do you know what they prayed, if they even did pray? If they did pray to be saved they may well have been, but not as you think.
No Idea - Doubt there were too many in Banda Aceh,
The muslim's don't really see eye to eye with the Christians .
No there werent, most were hidden but people knew of some churches that got swept away. I remember the Muslims shouting for joy as theirs was the true God as their building stood.
The Christians as you rightly said didnt see eye to eye. They were driven up the hills to celebrate Christmas away from everyone else.
This was what I was talking about earlier, it just happened to be chance that you would then post up a picture of the standing Mosque in the exact place to where I was referring.
