That's another reason to get it for the xbox as I'll have a choice of controllers, where as if it's for the PC then I'll be stuck using the wheel all the time.

any thoughts on which version is best to go for? Most of my online racing contacts are on xbox, but I prefer using the DFP wheel on PS3, plus with GT5 imminent I guess I will be adding a lot more racing contacts on PlayStation soon. mind you, once GT5 launches I don't imagine I will spend much time on F1 anyway!!
So - maybe get the Xbox version and make the most of the online racing now before GT5 launches? a

Come on then, those lucky people who already have it, lets get your best lap times for the Singapore circuit.....
Fastest real life lap so far this weekend is 1:58.025 on a slippery track.

Just turned it off to watch the real practice session.
I went straight on-line and raced scoobyvirgin and some unknown bloke. I was expecting driver aids to be turned on - they weren't! I went sailing off at the first corner of the Turkish GP.
After a couple of quick online races, I've switched to career mode, starting with Lotus. To learn the track, I've left the driver aids on and have been experimenting between the quick set-ups and the custom set-ups, concentrating on downforce at the moment.
The engineer keeps telling me that Trulli is setting faster lap-times, yet I'm over half a second faster than him I'm assuming this is just a random comment. The engineer has told me to look at Trulli's set up to see if I can gain a better set up from that, but I've not looked in to how to view his set up.
I've so far learnt that I prefer a car that doesn't over-steer as if you ride the kerbs too much than it suddenly turns in, I get pitched in to a spin.
The building a career looks interesting, but I've not even gone in to a quali session yet, so have not really experienced it.
First impressions - I like it. It's not as good as Microprose GP on the Amiga 500, but nothing ever could be!
May I suggest that we start a separate thread for car set-ups?

The only driver aids I have is traction and auto, as it's way too quick to be used in manual. You can't look at trullis set up unless you can when you're the number one driver?

Just back from Asda and its £34.97 the £32 price is online only. Picked up a copy anyway and checked out Sainsburys as its close by but £37.98 there.
They asked for my postcode as were checking how far people travel to get F1 (Asda had a massive poster outside on the grass advertising release day today). About 2 miles for me lol.
Anyway finish work at 4 so will have a go at Singapore lol.
