Looks nice, I hope it's a proper sim though and you just follow the procession of cars round the track for 2 hours?

If we included that we'd have nowhere to go for 2011 ...F1 99 (Psygnosis) did have those features (we have some ex-psygnosis staff) & their feedback was it was a bit dull & boring

Possibly, but it could easily be an option that could be turned off for those who didn't want it. The advertising shouts loud about trying to recreate the atmosphere of a real race weekend etc, and includes stuff like doing the press conferences etc (which sounds very dull tbh), but then you miss out some of the essential elements (which can especially have large effect on the race in places like Monaco).

Still anything is better than nothing I suppose

& that's the problem, *most* would/ will turn it off ...& it's such a massive undertaking in both code & ai, it just wasn't deemed worth it

Is there an option to turn off the press interviews / contract management / etc side of things? That's what I'd like to do. Just interested in the racing

Looks great, about time we had a decent F1 game again, especially if it handles as well as GRID did

GRID was one of the best car games i've played in a good while. Hopefully it is the same, or better.

I like the idea that individual driver's characters will feature.

But does that mean that Herr Schumacher will run you off the road to prevent you winning the championship?

Isn't the problem with trying to make a decent game out of F1 that F1 itself is painfully boring?

yep, but F1 was interesting then, with overtaking, close racing etc - today it's just a procession so any 'sim' will be equally dull. if it's more fun then it's not F1?
