Are you past your mileage allowance and getting to push the car now? How are you finding it compared to your old blob?

 

I'm about 200 miles over the break in period, I've had the oil changed too. The car doesn't seem as fast as my old car and has the same mods (minus suspension) it is less laggy than the uk car but it doesn't feel as fast

 

Could it be that the more smooth nature of the twin scroll makes it feel slower? UK cars tend to thump you when they finally come on boost lol.

I presume it's been mapped ? If not, get it mapped

 

I'm not sure, it doesn't really seem to come alive below 5k, it has api 350 badges on it but no printout to say it has 350. I'm hoping to get it remapped anyway once I've changed a few things

 

I think once its mapped tom it will be perfect! Its not pushing anywhere near its potential but when it is you will defo leave me standing lol....let me know when ur getting it mapped cus I might try and get mine done same day? maybe get it cheaper then too?!

 

I think you lose some of the sense of power with how smooth it is. I'm sure plenty more (oss) power can be found with a map like Kosta and matt said. If you bummers hang on you can get them mapped the same time as me and make it a worth while trip for the mapper.

It definitely needs remapping, but right now I need to push up the db not the bhp as I'm getting a little bored of the is it switched on jokes

It's already decatted, I had a 3" on my last car but never had a 2.5 so couldn't really tell any difference

Standard centre section with 2 silencers in and a Hayward and Scott back box. I was drowned out by a 50cc scooter the other day!

Ad your downpipe won't fit toms anyway as its twin scroll.

Think toms has had a map at some point but it wouldn't surprise me if it was the old Tek2 if they were ever available for the JDM car.

 

when you alot getting yours mapped then. im sure one of mine will be around waiting for a map

If a mapper can map 4 cars in a day, i wouldnt be happy that they were spending enough time on my car.

 

Mine shouldn't take that long to map anyway to be honest 1 the injectors are the same but I'm only having a running in map I agree tho 4 full custom maps in one day is a lot due to Andrew spending 4 hours alone on my car last time for my map!



Laga I forgot about that being twin scroll my downpipe is 3 inch tapper down to 2.5 then the system is 2.5 . That's why I've upgraded to 3inch all the way. All the pipe works dun now just gota get them powder coated then get all braided lines made up were nearly there should be rockin up at Weston meet!!!

 

Where will I find the flash plugs?

And rally launch just sounds brutal and fun therefore without even seeing the video I can already tell that I need it

It never used to be an issue for me either, world war 3 could have gone on behind my old car and I wouldn't have known about it

 

4/5 hrs per car is a proper map imo, you know the issue you had with your first simtek map Ad, mentioning no names, collect money and run.

 

Change the centre section for one with no silencers...

6 hours to map a car should be enough
