Tyres on it aren't brilliant I'm considering going on the rollers but want to make sure everything is 100% first and I'd rather it drove exactly how I want rather than try to chase numbers and have a car that doesn't perform as I want it to

I'm only having a tweak tomorrow, still can't decide if I should get rid of the apexi avcr or not, think I'll speak with andrew tomorrow and see what he recommends. I'll have a look round yours tomorrow but you know I like your car anyway

 

You really don't need the Apexi.

I would have thought that Andrew (unless he mapped this car previously) wouldn't want to tweak a map that wasn't his. I would have thought he would want to do it from scratch.

I'd have thought your car would be ECUtek and not open source too...?

PS I didn't mean to get on rollers to chase figures, I just meant to get it on after the map to check it over and see that it gets decent figures

 

Yea Tom will Andrew tweak a map that he hasn't put on?? For my full map I am doing it on the rollers not for figures but if it's live I've got a good chance of loosing my licence and isn't worth it I won't be there tomoz tho so let me know how everyone gets on Tom including mine lol

 

I've spoken to Andrew and he's happy to give it a tweak, I am on an ecutek map and he says that this also won't be a problem. I might just get the special removed then if it's not needed and sell it on. I'll let you know how your car gets on ad, I might look into a rolling road run then but not sure where my nearest awd rollers are?

Just been done kosta, world of difference mate. I was getting 0.5 bar of boost and I'm now getting 1.5 bar of boost

Much happier now thanks found a few more issues which are now resolved and I don't think any standard wrxs will be outrunning me that's for sure I did keep the apexi in the end and now have 2 boost settings from it plus an actuator setting

Yours is almost done now ad, they're just doing a final few adjustments and it's good to go but it sounds sweet as a nut mate

 

Hopefully mate, I'm much happier now it's running as it should have been all along. I still need to get the bodywork sorted out but engine wise I'm not actually sure it's the same car

Just asked andy to take a quick look at mine again and tweak (changed to a 3" system and fitted a RCM induction kit) in the hope its actually something daft but no luck, so im off to pay for the CDB now. he has a strong feeling that too thick a gasket has been used or the wrong pistons fitted through a previous rebuild as nothing points to leaks etc....

Im not as I'm up at 3am the next day.

I'd got the wrong map sensor fitted and it was also loose, the apexi hoses were plumbed backwards. I was told (and the advert for the car stated) that the car was mapped to about 340-350bhp but once plugged in today Andrew found that it was a map to get it to run in uk fuel. Andrew thinks it was a basic map from Lichfield. The apexi needed setting up correctly to show the correct amount of revs and boost pressure etc


However it goes much better now and reaching a nice 1.5 bar of boost to go with it
