Project 2
lol.........
Madhammer, did you see this guy up The Pod. He just broke the world record for a bike on the quarter running a 5.2 @ 249 mph.
Can't believe he stayed on the thing !
You may need to hit the video twice for it to start.

I have seen many runs by a rocket bike when Henk Vink raced one at The Pod.
In real life it's insane watching rocket propelled cars/bikes. Many think they are like the jet cars seen on the strips,.... wrong,..... very wrong. The difference would be the same as watching a Pro Stock run along side a Top Fuel.
Sammy Miller's rocket propelled funny car was 58,000 Bhp and I was lucky enough to be present when he done the 3.583 at 386.26 mph. Still the fastest run in the history of drag racing.
Be some years before we see those figures again as they are now banned world wide.
Miller had another car named Oxygen. He removed the wheels, replaced with skis and blew the thing across ice doing the 440 yards in 2.8 seconds. The G Force knocked him clean out and it was never an official records due to the location.
Top man he was. Spent his life in top fuel funnies & rockets then was killed a few years ago whilst at work in an oil field. Crazy.

Steven wont they lower the compression more and give better boost also better engine life than a high compression motor ?
On the down side i think it will be laggier off boost and not as much gains on race fuel .

Both block faces and heads have been skimmed and the chambers have been matched to the bigger bore size. I'm going to measure the combustion chamber tomorrow and work out the exact comp ratio now that I have the heads back in my posession. I'm not expecting them to be too far out but will know exactly what they are tomorrow.
Yep, hence the question really. As a track/drag car i would have assumed better fuel being used, so no issues with a higher compression.
Looks like the car's coming along nicely, credit to you both clive and daz.
Just seen this,
May see what 570 bhp and a very light car, with a little bit more bhp and some proper tyres can do soon
