Swine Flu Jab

No I haven't but be honest, Swine flu is just a scare tactic by our rogue Government! just like Saars, Bird flu, Acid rain, Y2k bug, Global warming now changed to Climate change etc etc, even Aids, I was told 20 years ago that in ten years everyone in the UK will know someone who has aids or someone who has died from it! Well I don't, I'm sick to death of our Gov's scaremongering in order to control the population! It's all pish IMHO

You're of course right in your great experience of medicine, I just imagined the previously fit hypoxic patient on 100% oxygen who I admitted to hospital last week with virologically confirmed H1N1

Underlying and previously undiagnosed problems I assume? Like most cases of death by Swine flu. but hey ho normal flu takes out just as many victims or more each year!

You believe what you like or listen to people's opinions that don;t work in the medical industry, I would rather listen to qualified people as some of the "medical" advice given out on forums is terrible.
To the OP, listen to your professional advisors and take the decision from there and ignore all the hysterical propoganda nonsense you find on the net including the "govt" and "end of the world" theorists.

Well we went to see our doctor he wouldn't recommend it or not recommend it we had to make our own minds up
He could see things for it and against.
He did say he had the jab as had all of his grand children.

As I think I have already said: I know someone who died very recently from 'Swine Flu'. She actually died from pneumonia, but this was caused by SF and she was a young fit and healthy woman.
Suggesting that it is a political fabrication is foolish in the extreme.

I had swine flu not long ago.
I am a very fit 43 - knock out my press ups and chin ups still.
And boy did it knock me off my feet. The fever was bloody awful and I sweated what felt like litre upon litre out. I had a bad reaction to a yellow fever jab years back before heading off to the tropics and it was along the lines of the severity of that.
I can see how it could quite easily kill the young and old. Didnt last too long with me - rested, soup and fruit juices and back on my feet in a couple of days back into life again. It knocked quite a bit of weight of me in just that short time.
So my experience was it didnt last long - but the 2-3 days it did were particularly nasty. especialy the second day - where I did definately feel like death warmed up
It is less like ´traditional flu´ symptoms which are more akin to a heavy cold with aches and pains - more fever like.
So there you go - that is what is about
