scoobyclinics turbo's just got billet I mean better!

I'm not sure that's strictly true for the MY08 set-up (the MY03-MY07 has a different inlet tract). I believe there is more of a restriction with the MY08> set-up for the 2ltrs and I was already hitting the airflow limit at 405bhp, even with the (in theory) "better" MY03-MY07 set-up.

Big thanks to Kev, Pat and everyone at the clinic that worked on the car. Very few places left that provide that sort of service! ..... proper enthusiasts working hard for enthusiasts!
Anyway, SC46 on a 257 mapped conservatively for the standard rods. 440bhp on vpower and 410 on 95ron. The drive home was VERY impressive! All that power and much better spool than a vf30 .... this is all the turbo ill ever need for sure!

Hi Wil,
glad your happy with the result, it was good for us to see the turbo perform on 95 octane fuel and not to shabby either.
It says a lot when our test pilot comes back to base saying "that's insane" and Pat couldn't speak for laughing stating "something that big shouldn't go that fast" and that was a road test on 95 , it will be even more insane on V power.
Well done to all concerned.
Cheers

Hi,
for those following this thread and the ever on going evolution of the Billet wheeled turbo's here is another update.
The first SC36 Billet twin scroll was not a huge success, a little disapointing to be fair.
Not a complete failure and we can use it as a starting point to evolve this new range of twin scroll billets, as for this one its back to the drawing board.
cheers

Have you got a "before" graph to compare them to, very interested in this turbo and although I only have a humble MY03 JDM Sti (which I appreciate has other internal differences) it would be interesting to compare the shape of the curves between standard and SC42 turbos.

The turbo and injectors have been fitted so there won' be a "before" dyno run to compare the difference however I will dig out the graph from my first dyno run in June.
PS can anyone tell me if dyno runs are stored on the dyno computer ? am not sure I know where my print out is.

I did have a dyno run print out at Teg sport a few month back ,but can't find it. It was running 330bhp and 350ltb.

SC42 and SC46 billet twin scrolls are both out there in quantity working as they should its only the Sc36 Billet twin scroll that's under going development.
Just taken a look at the boost, it was only running 1.3 bar on V power with stock ecu and an ecutec map, so not all bad but as I stated its a platform to develop from.
Already set the wheels in motion for the next sample to be ball bearing, imagine that an SC36 Billet twin scroll BB core, now that might be just what the doctor ordered.

Hi,
As the SC36 billet single scroll is a world beater it would be a shame to mess with it, if it were to go BB it would become more expensive, its a very quick spooling Billet wheeled turbo at just £750.00 + vat and will give 360 BHP and more, we have a few running over 400 BHP with 20% meth mix.
Its not out of the question though, we are testing and developing a whole new BB range up to but not including the SC42 which will remain untouched.
watch this space.
Cheers

Update
I was supposed to be at the rolling road by 9am however due to RAC taking two hours to dispatch a flatbed I ended up getting there at 12pm.
So unfortunately guys I have to wait until Thursday for the mapping session.

The car was at Richard Henrys and the rolling road is in Chester Silverstone autosport (Subaru dealer service centre). I couldn't drive it there because it had 750cc injectors and was running very rich.

So does that mean that new Custom Twin Scroll housings are working and you can use them for the SC42 TS and SC46 TS variants, without VF housing exchange?

not yet, we need to thoroughly test them on track.
Once the new housings have been through their paces we will release them on the open market, for now I am afraid its still on an exchange exhaust housing basis.
Wont be long though.
cheers
