Why are the Cornish so hostile to the English?

I used to help run a gaming forum a few years ago. On the user profile section there was an option to add a mini flag. We had all the usual ones Eng, GB, Wales, Scotland, Euro etc.
Some guy started a campaign to get people to boycott the site claiming the site was racist.
The reason behind this was because we didn't include a Cornish flag, I didn't even know Cornwall had its own flag.

Im cornish and i cant say i hate people coming down here, alot of the tourists who come down dont seem to be able to stick to one side of the road and so on tho! when ur taking back roads and come across a plonker in the middle of the road, who then tries to pull in abit an hits a hedge like it jumped outta nowhere!
Apart from that and the fact some try to talk down at you like you are thick or something, then it doesnt bother me!
I think years ago there was some sort of battle between the cornish and 'england' it may be something to do with that?

Wasn't a white 306 by any chance, had a numpty do something similar today, plank was looking everywhere else but the road.
I for one will be glad when this bank holiday lot have buggered off, it gets worse every year!!
