Very much makes sense mate. On paper the gains would be small but so is the starting point of 130 bhp so I guess it could be worth doing...

This was something i posted on another subaru site last week :

Hiya i'am not really into bigging up peoples buissness's,but after owning 37 cars and driving for 24 years , i have to say the service i received at Thwaites Developments on monday was out of this world.

After visiting the workshop a few weeks previous ,and meeting mark i was dubious about letting a 'young' bloke loose on my car,but after chattting to him for half an hour i soon realised that this bloke knew his stuff. My car was in for a simple left hand rocker cover gasket ,as my current 1 was leaking a very small amount of oil on to the exhaust manifold.

When i got there early, they were already in the workshop, and dispite me leaving my car running for 10 mins after i got there, when it came to getting it in the workshop it would not start. You could see mark and ryan had a busy day ahead of them as the workshop was rammed with 4 impreza's and a legacy gt. After moving the cars we pushed my car in and1st thing mark did was show me where the sofa was and told me to help myself to tea & coffee,he then gave me the wireless key so i could surf the web on my laptop which i had brought with me. also a good selection of magazines to keep you occupied:total impreza, redline,& NUTS .
After about an hour and my car was done ,it still would not start,we checked the maf,and i thought it might be the fuel pump i had bought off pistonheads. As mark & ryan were clearly in for a busy day i suggested we push the car outside, and if it was ok if i could borrow some of his tools to remove the pump.He willingly obliged and gave me a 8 mm socket and ratchet and posi screwdriver. 10 mins later i had the pump out,and took it into the workshop,Mark checked the wiring and said it was not to clever,he then tested the pump and was convinced it was a walbro one ,but upon closer inspection it became apparent it was not.The pump had seized and was useless.
Rather than leave me to fend for myself myself he went to the back of his workshop and brought out a new age pump, and said this should do it.When i asked him if he had time to do it ,he replied you make the coffee, and i'll get this soldered up - deal. by the time i had made the coffee he had the pump all wired up and ready to go. As he was busy with other customers arriving to speak to him,i took the pump and refitted it in no time at all,i took his tools back to him and asked him how much for the pump - he replied nothing, when you get your walbro just bring it back . Although i am in the AA ,this saved me calling them out and in no time i was on my way.

Just would like to say quality service, good open and honest minded bloke who asked me what i wanted out of my car and suggested the best way to go, and he may have to invest in a sofa bed ,as i will be taking my car there on a very regular basis starting with brake upgrade in 2 weeks time

Mate exactly as i said before, the guy is not only like one of your best mates, he's a bottomless pit of knowledge and Ryan is the next big thing in scooby tuning, he's learning from the master.

Webby.
