Dunc's mapped mine to peak at 1.3bar and hold 1.2ish

If your REv2 is accurate (& I hope it's not) and you're running a standard map... then you're gunna be running VERY lean mate...
Still Running at 1.5 bar & still have a fully functioning engine too
Forged Engine Internals will be here in the morning though for the next stage of tuning hahaha.

IMHO the prodrive mapping on the 330s is cause for a major headache as there is a problem with it, But they wont admit it seen a few engines outta these with the same problem. Det causing the piston to crack
During Higher Engine rpm they seem hesitant and kinda juddery basically pulling the timing back due to a slightly lean mixture causing small amounts of det

Hi Rob,

I think Scooby L was hinting I may have problems if my Std 330S was doing 20 psi/1.4 bar and not remapped! Rather than it would blow at that boost pressure anyway!

Your reply may help Wiz above though...

yeah Most likely as prodrive wouldnt take it above 1.1-1.2 bar usually. I take it its still in standard form no bits added to it...

we have sent various data logs to subaru regarding this problem and still no reply they'd rather just keep fitting engines than fix the mapping. Very sad state of affairs really

Agreed.

Std car, apart from Zunsport lower grill, adds 20 bhp!
And in car gauges via Rev2.. which showed this up today!!!

All come out in the remap I am sure.... don't wanna have it blow but don't wanna mod/remap it and lose warranty...!!! hmm think modding and AndyF remap is the best way forward... hehe

Cheers mate

I agree, 15-20mm would be but we're into longer studs and hub-centric etc then...

This didn't seem a spike, stayed at 20 psi while hard acceleration, dropped to about 18 psi by rev limit at 6700.
1 bar = approx 14.50 psi

So 20psi / 14.5 = 1.379

Sorry Neil, I forgot you've got a 330s... was thinking you had a Std STI and getting 1.4bar... that would be very bad news....

Even so, as Rob said...the 330s has been know to boost spike over 1.4bar (not holding though, just spiking) and this causes lean spots..resulting in DET and thus hesitation under heavy loading.... I'd certainly not try to repeat the symptoms too much... if it does it..back off/change down a gear\reduce the torque demand... you could be doing damage...

Duncan's set my boost CUT at 1.45bar.... he was that concerned about it... and run after run he was happy 1.3 was it's absolute ceiling..

What - data logs of the new PPP map showing problems?

Did they respond?

I happen to know that the folk that knew the most about the Subaru road cars are no longer working for Prodrive.
I suspect there has been a major fallout.

Yes I'd get the geometery done again.... I'd have thought by lowering it you will have changed the camber

Yes, to fit you have to remove the front camber bolts and the chances of them going back in and everything staying inline is near on impossible so a geo set up will be required.

Thanks for the info! Will get some quotes first from the dealer...

I want to wrap (so remove) my rearview mirror. Its explained in the Impreza Service manual, but they say 'NEVER REUSE THE SPRING'

Is this really needed? Or impossible without a new one?

I originally asked the dealer about fitting springs and was getting quotes of £300+, hence I took a different option!

If lowering the car then consider a roll centre mod kit. Lowering pushes out the links from subframe to wheel hub as the subframe is lowered by lower springs reative to the hubs.

Camber and alignment setting all roubnd really needed, to get the best out of the changes and preserve tyres!

Waiting on other Rev2 users to post their boost... gulp!

Is that data from the OBD2 output ?
Are you using a Blitz R-Vit or HKS Camp2 or similar ?

Cool NBO 8 all new age 2nd national meeting

Hi most of you know I organise the northern big one NBO at lightwater valley on sunday 27 th June
every year I like to do something different and this year I would like a display of all the new age hatches
I know most of you are part of different groups so will probably be part of them

Unless the new age group could get their own stand together and we could all meet up
I will be going live in a few days on scoobynet with the lists but could one of you guys coordinate something on here or scoobynet new age section and get something planned

I am also planning a new age section in the car of the day competion but would need a least 10 to drive into the arena to show their cars for everyone else to look at our cars

So could someone on hear take over the running of this new age display for me as I'm really busy with NBO stuff in the next 11 weeks

Thanks

john <lordharding>

new age fanatic as well as an old classic tucked away

Hi John,

Fairly new to Scoobynet (was a UKlegacy.com regular in a previous life) but have taken the plunge and bought the diesel 180 from our good friend Ian. Similar spec to yours I believe? I'll keep an eye on developments regarding the NBO at Lightwater and hope to be able to make it.

This is my new diseasel:

Cheers
