Their clarion now There is only the jack for the cd changer on the back which the US pugs into. Without seeing a clarion loom it would be hard to know if it would be worth the try.

I'll be pished though if its the Clarion lead that fits having spent £130 importing the US kit.

EDIT

Thanks to RB5 286, I went looking at the US kit again. The ipod to controller box is teh clarion lead!!!! I'm sure of it from the pics I can find on the net.

There is 8 wires in it, and the aux in connector on my head unit has 8 pins (4 in use currently). whats the betting this was a din connector but as its OEM clarion changed the shape of the connector to fit Subaru....

Wonder if we can reverse engineer a din lead.

I've previously never seen an STi or WRXS hatch on the road.
Today I spotted going the other way

10.10 am on Ripon by pass, Dark Grey STi
10.30 am on A1 Leeming Bar in 50mph restrictions, Dark Grey STi
10.45 am on Blackwell bank coming out of Darlington towards A66(M) Red WRXS (didn't spot the grille badge but might have been STi)

Just like London buses!

I have finally got my car to John Weir Subaru in Perth to get the parking sensors painted silver! At last, it was starting to give me a twitch when I saw them.
John Weir also had the last unregistered RB320 in the show room. It looked very nice.
I am also going to get subaru the mud flaps, I couldn't bring myself to fit a set of rally armor flaps.
I have been thinking about getting the quickshift gear change but can't decide. Does anyone else have it fitted to their hatchback? If you do, please tell me your thoughts on it.
Next year I am getting it down to Litchfield to get the handling pack fitted. I think I will go for the JDM wing mirrors as well. I just wish I didn't have to travel so far, otherwise I could get it done next week.
I have never been bothered about the rear lights until I saw RB5's and RiggedSTI's. I think a dark tint or the red looks good. I now hate my rear lights. I would also like the rear glass tinted.

Thanks

Chris

How did you switch the unit to play??

I'm going to redo this on thurs as I did everything I could think of except have the intruction manual with me

Its just got to be a case of getting the headunit to recognise theres something plugged in. On my old kenwood, there was a button marked play....

I think these are the first pics of mine that I've posted in this thread - had the car nearly 18 months!

Got loads of mods now - most notable are the Litchfield Type 20 handling pack with the AST Coilovers and the Alcon 365mm 6-pots!

Much more on my Flickr page - Flickr: al broon's Photostream

Default My Hatch!

I resisted from posting any pictures of my standard STI as lets face it, we all know what a standard one looks like

So here's my car after a couple of styling mods:

1. Rear light tint
2. OZ Ultraleggera 18's + Toyo T1R
3. Professionally detailed

Theres plenty more to be done to this one so will keep you posted!

I love the wheels and rear light tints. That is one shiny motor.
Your car looks great.

Fogs are a piece of cake to fit, I did mine at the same time as I fitted my zunsports mesh, PIAA horns and v-lip splitter, 2/3 hours for the lot iirc and that was taking it slowly as I had the bumper off, hardest thing was locating one of the screws in the steering column cowl, there are 3 of the ******* and could I see the last one.

Is that a Subaru STi front lip spoiler you have?

It's the one that comes as standard on the WRXS.

Funny old world.

Yeh the STI lip spoiler, where are your mudflaps? My rear flared arches are covered in tiny chips from the standard mudflaps so ordered some rally armors.

Hows your fuel economy with the ppp? Did you drive it as standard before the ppp, was there a noticeable difference?

If anything i would say fuel economy is slightly better following the addition of PPP. Fitted PPP about 12 months after purchase on mine and very pleased all round.

Need to get to Iains now for the handling pack.

Mmm, PPP, anyone managed to get a deal on this from their dealer lately? Am about to book my STi in for it's first service (9K miles since I got it in May, yikes (- so am thinking that I may as well get the power tweaked while I'm there.

Cheers

I have no idea, bought the car used with 6k miles on it last month. I figured they were just the stock ones that it came with from the factory.

I should get my rally armors in this friday so those will be coming off if anyone wants them.

those flaps look like the prodrive ones that are sold for the front only, you can mod them to fit the rear and I think revolution247 have managed to get hold of some, think they are only about £30 a pair. Did consider them myself but figured they may be little small and rallyarmors were more up to the job of protecting our super thin paint.

Cannot tell you what difference PPP makes to the fuel economy, as it had the pack pretty much from new.

May I ask how much was the lip spoiler and whether it was it easy to fit?

The fuel economy did improve in mine after fitting the PPP.
It went from 21.5mpg, to, wait for it ....... 22.2mpg.
I would still have had it fitted even if the fuel economy dropped below 20mpg.
