There is a garage out in loughbrickland that is now doing a 99 RON blend on the pump

Yeah, deffo piece of mind after Bob mapped it, he's done a few cars of mine in the past & well worth the wait on him coming over. He actually put a few switchable maps on the car for me which suits my driving needs.
As for plans I want to try & keep it as original looking as I can but toying with the idea of a bigger turbo just to get it to 400bhp. I have a ht autos lower line kit to go on when the weather gets better & get the wheels refurbed.
But as you know a scooby is like a box of Pringles, once you pop you can't stop tuning that is lol

@big-kev , your hatchback looks really nice!
Where did you source the HKS cat from and does it have 2 catalysts or one?
The ones I've seen for the GRB have 2 cats.
Was 370bhp achieved with 99 octane SUL?

Don't buy a cheap ebay copy... they don't fit the same!!!

the real ones need the bumper off or you can't fit it correctly!!

No my down pipe only has 1 cat. Here a link https://www.rhdjapan.com/hks-metal-c...b-gvb-vab.html
The car was mapped on 97ron as we can’t get 99ron over here.

Thanks.
Does HKS produce 2 different downpipes for the GRB, one with a single cat (as shown in the RHDJapan websote) and one with 2 cats (as shown in japanparts website) or is the picture from japanparts generic?
https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/?id=48904
The part number of japanparts is the same as the RHDJapan one: 33005-AF014

Does anyone know of the HKS sports cat is less restrictive than the SARD one?

From HKS Power website

https://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/produ...zer/index.html

There are a number of options for the GR/GV models depending upon revision.

Full details here.....

Thanks Don.
What does Model Year 07/10 -14/08 mean? October 2007 to August 2014?
If so, as far as I can tell for a December 2008 GRB the correct part is 33005-AF014 which shows to have 2 catalysts.
@big-kev , do you know the part number of your downpipe?

Basically covers all revisions of gr/gv models

The image shown on RHDJapan is for 33005-AF004 for the earlier newage GDB models (Revisions E,F &G)

He used to have a STi. Now a new shape M3 competition in lime green yellow. Works for Stan Palmers who have just stopped being a Subaru dealer.

If you have part numbers Subaru should be able to get most things .....

I asked for a STi front lip spoiler for my Forester Crosssports... They could get it but I didn't fancy paying £480 ish for it LoL

Just know its the Spar Solo garage that is selling it, literally only became available a few weeks back

Guy who owns the garage has an r35 gtr and set about getting a blend made and then made available at his pumps

managed to cover about 400 mile over xmas to easing myself back into ownership again

car has been great & not skipped a beat, The new bottom arms have been a revelation, just feels perfect now for our roads - id the group N style solid rubber mounts previously and they could get a bit of unwanted feedback NVH that travelled up the steering column i found - especially on likes of crappy roads or speed bumps

next up im trying to source a non-turbo bonnet (harder than it looks in N.Ireland!) - i currently run a kstech block off plate on the scoop
https://www.kstech.biz/2008-2014-wrx...-scoop-delete/

so think ill try a non turbo bonnet and vent it similar to the WRC vent area basically above each strut top

kind of like this

It already does that - vents into the wing area above the arch liner and out through the fender garnish (may need to remove rubber liner to improve flow).

You could always go the S206 direction, unless that's what you mean by WRC

Hi Don - yeah already know it vents - more so just aesthetically i was going to put vents on a non turbo bonnet similar to wrc

was never really a fan of the wing mounted vents - always thought they looked a bit too halfords esque no matter how functional they are

yeah the later pillowball arms

bracket was fabricated along with adjustable arm - bracket was mounted by drilling/helicoil/bolt to arm

tried getting a pic of it in this previous post - 3rd link

Looks like I'm off for a rebuild and some upgrades. Anyone have any parts for sale, I might be looking at for future power increase so might need bits in future, things like sports cats, exhaust, brakes etc. Asking incase anyone has sold on any has bits for sale.

Ive got an RCM oil baffle plate that i'm not going to use if its of any use to you, it's an ideal time to fit it while the engine is out, buy the upgraded pickup pipe to go with it. £115 collected or £125 posted, it's £155 + postage at RCM
