buy the retaining clips/poppers also as you'll break most of them removing it unless you intend ripping the old one off which should give you enough room to prise out the retainers without breaking the locking tabs

i was gonna do the same & replace mine - i took mine off to fit a scoop block off plate - but ended up putting the old one back on as i intend going for a scoopless bonnet instead :O

90815FG010 - insulator
90814FC001 - securing popper (x9)

I'm anticipating a track day in March, anyone got some hatch specific hints and tips?

How did your brakes get on?

How did your tyres do?

No sadly not, all those years of being dealers we terminated the franchise. Dwindling sales numbers etc
we are Now Honda, Isuzu & Suzuki.

We do however still service & repair Subaru's with genuine parts etc so we wont turn our backs on loyal Subaru owners.

Default STI 20th Anniversary Edition

Hi folks , thought I’d post up a few pictures of what I replaced my11 saloon with , and I have to say it’s the best handling car I’ve driven so far by a country mile

Here she is with my Spec c wheels on getting her ready for our trip round Europe

And here she is with original wheels on

And here’s how she spent 99% of the time since coming from Japan

Default Air con - new gas question ... how much! 2009 STI hatch

Had some parts of the air con system replaced before lockdown, so maybe 3 years ago? at Subaru dealer... what gas would they have put in and how much? The service manager DID say it was the new stuff ( 1234yf? ) and that was more expensive than the old 134a....

Local air con place wants top know how much to refill and if they will get cross contamination!

Looked at DIY kits/tins on line and they seem to say needs less of the new stuff than the old 134a label on the car says!

Thanks

V

Update: phoned dealer, it WAS the new 1234yf gas, but not recorded how much was put in! Label on car still says R-134a 750g

Cant have been the new gas, R1234yf has different coupler fitting that don't fit your car. & we always use recommended gas & lubricants, it may well have been a generic gas part number used instead of having two different part number.

I've finally had the the oil temperature, oil pressure and boost sensors fitted by TDR during the car's recent annual oil & filter service.
I had previously extended some of the sensor wiring and did the electrical connections myself with the help of
professional retrofits , getting power from the head unit loom. The controller and joystick (with which the maximum and minimum values can be adjusted when the gauges change colour) were fitted in the glovebox.
After 3 years of looking for the ideal for me gauge setup, I am very pleased with the final result of the zada-tech product, as it looks simple, modern and without external paraphernalia fitted.

Operation descoop has commenced....I've been running a block off plate on the standard bonnet and it's been annoying me. So been on the lookout for a NA bonnet. Got one so just need to give it a tidy up then stick it on - think itll look well without it

also picked up a set of 18 speedline sl2 mamora so itll be all change looks wise soon

They are all new arms, every bush has been changed. New wheel hub and brake guards too. The subframe has been treated with Bilt Hamber Hydrate-80

I drove the STi to work today. What an elixir! It's been the first "proper" drive this year after the car's winter hibernation, its MOT and yearly service last week; I decided to give the planned trackday on the 31st March at Cadwell a miss due to the snowfall). My commute is along a Roman B road that is great fun to drive and reminds me why we own/drive these cars; I have often thought about selling it but I must have been mad!
A couple of photos from the work's car park. I've added a little 'S' letter (it comes from a copy of a S206 badge) at the bottom right of the 20th anniversary badge and I've been in two minds whether to keep it or not as I am not a fan of fake badges (e.g. 'turbo wrx intercooler 16V DOHC' lol) but on the other hand it's a subtle detail for those in the know (my car has the S206 suspension fitted and soon to have the S206 flexible rear subframe supports fitted as well). What do you guys reckon about it?

For me, it (the S) looks a bit lost where it is. Personally, would be more suited to form an STIs
For me, after many variations/combinations have ended up with........

It does look a bit 'out of place' agreed, although in the flesh it looks better IMHO.
I might give your suggestion a go Don, good idea!
I've also got a Bilstein emblem in the drawer but I might have to relocate the STi badge a little higher for it to look good under the STi badge; I had previously moved the STi badge a little lower as I've removed the Impreza letters to make it look more balanced.

Good job. What ride height did you choose, and did you fit any bumpsteer compensation kit to cope with lowering? Got to fit mine

For Revision C models onwards they deleted the "Impreza" lower part of the badge.

That's good to know, thanks
It would be good to find a facelift hatch and take some measurements.
Saying this, I placed mine based on measurements taken from a R205 (thanks to rossyboy) which has the STi badge on the left side .

Took the girl out to the Chilterns whilst the sun came out... hell of a car to be flying around the country lanes in!
