well guys, i managed to fit the mic for the nav unit, only took around 30 mins (cant believe the stealers wanted over £100 to fit) which i am well proud of because i have never done anything like that before.
all i need to do now is find out how to sync contacts with the iphone (if u can).
also got some exhaust surrounds and a dual console box to fit, but dont think i am up to fitting the fog lamp kit and the electric mirror module.......

Do Subaru not realise that the hatch Impreza will never be as good as the original sedans? Evo's getting better, Impreza's getting fatter.

Can anyone tell me what diameter the front fog lights are on the 08 STI and does anyone have a picture of how they mount?
Thanks,
Paul.

The hatch has just gone in for a 20k service at Slowboy Racing, Don't tell the missus but I've got some Whiteline goodies going on at the same time. New boots Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics going on later this week.
Has anyone had the re-valveing of the power steering done by either powerstation or Litchfield imports? Is it a kit of parts that my local tuner can install for me. Has anyone upgraded the steering bushes, can you really feel the difference?
Had to test drive an XC90 at the weekend, not as bad as you think, but is does mean the WRX Hawkeye will have to go

Since friday I'm finally driving my WRX hatch from 2008 but there is something that is ignoring me!
When I drive a pretty unsmooth road there is an irritating noise that comes from my left front side. It's like some plastic box that is loose or frontshock that make abnormal sounds. Is just like a speaker with bad bass and some trrrr . I have a left hand drive btw so maybe someone has it on their right side?
Thanks for any reply

Car is back from 20k service ARB's and ALK hae really changed the feel of the car, much more direct steering feel, really alert in the corners. Ride appears to have firmed up some though.
Just found out I need new pads, any suggestions. General road use so was going to go for Mintex.
Also the rear diff seal appears to have perished/started leaking so will need replacement, anyone else had the same issue?
When can we get a dedicated section on Scoobynet for Hatches?

Pads - Ferodo DS2500 would be my choice.
Have the seats being fitted on Friday then all the mechanical stuff being done hopefully next week.
Is ALK worth doing (I have them on both classics I've owned) - i have f & r ARB's, springs and rear bushes going on but haven't really thought about fitting ALK.
Any comments?

Hard to say as I had arb and alk fitted at the same time (saved on labour). The sterinv feels more direct, and the car feels more stable under acceleration and braking, but I don't know how much more is comi h from the arb's. What the garrage did say though is that the alk for the hatch has camber adjustment hilt in so no need for extra kit to adjust this. Slowboy racing have put a fast road geo on the car. I'll know more when I put the new boots on later this week.
I heard the ferodo pads needed a pit of heat in them. It's a daily drive so I really don't want anything too extreme, just don't want to pay out for brembo pads!
