Translation:

Brakes branded as (fake) 'Brembo'...of substandard quality.
Not worthy of fitting to a cooking model...let alone a high-performance vehicle.

Default 6th Gear ratio

Anyone any real world experience of how JDM & UK hatch STI's compare on 6th gear ratios?

The specs are:
Both share the same final drive ratio of 3.9:1
the UK's 6th gear is 0.707/26.6
and the JDM's 0.842

Whatever all that means...?

I noticed motorway revs are highish in the JDM, be interested to know if the UK car is more relaxed

The Jdm is not the best for crusing around in with revs high if it’s a daily
If it’s a weekend car makes it a blast

We had drifts all down our 1/2 mile track, so it sat there not moving!!
Auto+ in snow, auto- when dry with bends, auto otherwise, occasionally play with traction /stability but tend to leave alone most of the time

Most common setting I use is auto- and VDC semi-off

When I remove my petrol cap to refill the tank I get a release of pressure as in whooshing. I will try and record it next time I fill up. Should the tank be pressurised?

PS 08 Hatch WRX with no mods

Yes, excess fuel is circulated back to the tank and there will always be vapour in the tank which is what you release when opening the cap.

Excess fuel! Coming back to the tan! Don, you jest surely ;-)

It seems excessive though like a lot of pressure last time. Was at least 5 to 10 seconds

Same here every car I've had has done this including my bug. I thought this was the norm with a petrol tank to be honest.

Well I have either been waiting a long time a car to be built (now given up waiting for that phone call), or actively looking to either be messed about or pipped to the sale....

That said I think I’ll give it up as a bad job and move on from Subaru. Been looking now for 5 months and in that time I’ve only seen two I liked but they’ve been snapped up by dealers - now asking 3k more. So bollox to it, I think it’s time for something different unless someone on here is selling a nice sorted hatch?

I’ve not seen any on FB recently, not in the most common subaru communities anyway?
