Hi just registered, been lurking for a long time now, I need some help, I'm in the market for an sti hatch.
IV been in talks with someone selling an EU import (Cyprus) it seems to have the 330 extras keyless entry/start and recaros and nav.
First question what are these worth? It has 63k on the clock and has never been rebuilt which is a worry. It's completely standard from what I understand.
They want £11750 is that reasonable?

Also IV read that the EU imports don't have an alarm. Is it possible to fit the sigma that comes on the type UK? Will the loom etc already be there?
And when I go look at the car what should I look out for? It will be my first Subaru
Thanks

Hi, yes.
it's the premium spec Euro car, like the 330s (but without the Prodrive Map to make it a 330s.. obviously).

If no alarm, you'd be able to get one fitted. You may want something better/different.

Price: bench mark it against a std TypeUK STi hatch and pay what you feel happy.. bare in mind it has better bits on it than the UK car.

Down side is (if you call it a down side) it's a Euro Import.

Check with insurance companies if they will insure it.... specialist companies will do.

If you were buying a £12k car.. what else is out there?

My 330s would be more than that if it were up for sale..

Default What's it worth?

Thinkng of getting rid of my sti hatch and moving on to something bigger and different, with a growing family and out door activities (motox, speed boat, football) increasing daily it's time to get a pick up

Just wondering what you all think it might be worth either private sale or trade in.

Year: 2009, 59plate
milage: approx 84000
exhaust: cobra turbo back, decay, non reaonated
diy built cold air induction
rempped by Andy Forrest to 367bhp approx
bc br coilovers
ht autos full lowline kit
clear rear fog
upper strut brace
two led spots installed in front bumper due to a missing grill
18" bola b1 alloys

car is in great condition throughout with age related wear and light swirl marks on bodywork, nothing a good polish wouldn't sort. Have original suspension, exhaust and wheels still so could return to standard if would get me more trade in.

Have a figure in my head I would like to achieve but don't know if I'm on the ball or not. Will add pics later

cheers
phil

Can't open my fuel flap, any common issues I need to be aware of? It wouldn't work one frosty morning last week but opened after I poured warm water on it but today it wouldn't open again and water hasn't worked this time, any ideas?

I had a similar problem, i initially used a mini sucker to pull the flap out, then worked out where it was slightly catching and gently bent that bit in.

It pings out now ok.

N/S inner wheel arch (engine bay)
loom location bracket and actual inner wing. Where main loom connector is please

You can message me if you wish or pm and I'll send my number or email then watts app me

Next month I am having pro alloy make a custom bracket to mount and hold my RCM track attack oil catch can, rather than just screwing to chassis rail!!!

I need to know if it can be offered to other cars except saloon if I attempt a group buy

As a demo car it wouldn't have had one fitted when we had it as they don't fit them in fear of them being damaged.

The holes in the bumper should be opened up to 9.5mm dia (3,then 6, then 9.5 to avoid tearing)

and the rubber nuts pushed in from below so that the head of the nut acts as a cushion between splitter and bumper

Ohh dear... my STi splitter, fitted by dealer as new before I picked the 330S up, is held on by a few self tappers from the look of it!
Can see daylight between splitter and bumper ... but stayed on for 6-7 years so must be working!

least you know where you can drill through to put some correct fittings in, like i've had to do last week.

I'll be collecting this STI within the next 2 weeks, it looks likely to be around the end of next week for collection. A road trip of roughly 500 miles all in but it'll much be worth it, to say I'm excited is an understatement.

A quick spec, forged engine rebuilt 20k miles ago by Surrey Subaru Specialists....

Mapped by Andy Forrest with 3 maps, turbo back exhaust system, Clifford concept 650 alarm system, subtle exterior mods which set the car off nicely.

I wasn't a huge fan of the hatchback Impreza's but I absolutely love this one, it ticks all the relevant boxes and will be perfect for what I need.
