Well that it for my hatchback for this year , got some work I want to do underneath to the handling and makes sense to take it off the road for a bit while it's being done and with the show season over it wouldn't be getting used very much anyway

But iv got this RA 555wrc to run around in over the winter , not that it's a run around as its been rebuilt by my mate before I brought it so proper clean

do you think its worth taking them off the road? i cant see them becoming a desirable car in years to come etc - if anything the classic will be far more susceptible to winter weather than the hatch will be

If it wasn't worth me taking it off the road it wouldn't be , but it's the reasons why you need to look at

The classic is taxed and the hatch isn't , the hatch needs work the classic doesn't , the hatch is getting sold in the next couple of years classic isn't

So works for me to take it off the road for a few months

fridays random thinking question....

is there an alternative to starting the car if your Start button doesnt function? Fob has a key that opens the doors but can it also be used in the event of the button not working?

Nope, although unlikely start/stop switch would fail, more likely the key transmitter or receiver located behind the the start/stop switch.

And here's my joy. EDM MY08, same equipment as UK 330s - Recaros, navi, keyless, fogs... Running 360bhp on stock internals. Going strong for now though!

Had my Jdm hatch STI remapped last week by Andy f.
Prep for the map was
3" turbo back exhaust
Mishimoto CAI
Swrd fuel pump
Swrd 3 port
Colder plugs
She made 358/378. Well chuffed. She's a bit of an animal now

What discs are folks running. I am on oem with aggressive pads at mo, but need new rears, without spending a fortune; looked at Godspeed, Scoobyworx, and basic oem. Would consider Brembo, but don`t know where to buy. Last time I bought discs, for my wagon, from Aztec, they were out of true and had to be reground. Thanks

If you are thinking of fitting Whiteline's KCA334 kit to the saloon, why would you want to remove the pillowball bearings and replace with bushes???

Whiteline's KCA334 wont fit MY11 onwards (which is saloon/hatch facelift) they only fit 08-10 Hatch cars due to wishbone differences.

the my11 onwards with pillow ball have a larger bush and as such different bottom arm to accomodate

Cheers Don for the help on that

Hugh

as an aside i fitted https://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-ser...able/1625.html to my hatch and while they are a great job but i wouldnt recommend them for a daily driver car as they cause alot of increased NVH in the cabin, in particular, dash vibration - now i intend to try and fix this with foam stuff but its still like you can even feel running over a cat eye now in the car
