Cheers Simon, remember reading something about people having a nightmare and was not sure if that was only with the Satnav units, well will order one now, at £1.49 it must be the cheapest thing I have ever bought for the car!!

Anyone know if the sti mudflaps sold by revolution fit both front and rear? as my poor white car is in desperate need of some snow deflectors

Poor Matt and Olly would have a panic attack if they could see the colour of it now

If your talking about the small Prodrive ones for £30/£40 then yes they do with slight modification, or so I have been told anyway.

Yes, they're not PF discs pictured - PF discs are a fully floating, 2 piece disc.

More snow. I had cleared all the snow off the car yesterday morning and this was it when we got home. My poor car.

Father Xmas has delivered the following to be fitted to my hatch -

Recaro CS front seats (which will finally fix the worst failing of the standard car imo) - just waiting for the bespoke adapters to turn up (you use the standard runners in conjunction with these)

More power & noise - K&N filter and Magnaflow exhaust

Handling - Eibachs springs (not shown), Whiteline front & rear ARB's, front brace and rear subframe bushes (not shown)

Also have an STi copy lip to go on plus a Zunsport black grill set.

Cheers to Mrs D and her fellow conspirators - RB5-286, Steve C, Phil A and Revolution

Signing in!

Moving onto my third Impreza when I collect it this week coming (was registered on Friday 31st to beat Subaru UK price increase and Vat increase)

It's a Red STI hatch, totally standard (for about 5 minutes no doubt)

Previously had a silver 03 Wrx for 3 years which had quite a bit done to it and after that I had STI version 1 number 21 which was superb and had quite a lot done to it but looked visually almost standard - has a unique version 1 spoiler and a handbuilt STI engine etc

Pleased to be back. Catch me on SIDC as WRXMANIA

Brian :-)

looking forward to hearing the magnaflow in action, the standard prodrive exhaust on the 330s just needs burbleing up a little.

post some video clips when fitted

Maybe a centre section replacement?

Did that on my Hawkeye and along with the Prodrive backbox released just the right amount without being too neighbour annoying!

The Magnaflow does sound good from what I've heard on Youtube though!

All very nice. I love the seats and have been looking at them on the revolution website. I would love to get the seats but am not convinced I could fit them. I look forward to hearing how you get on and how much of an improvement the seats are.

Go back a few pages on this thread and you will see a couple of pics of mine where I have chopped out the center resonator pipe and replaced for a straight through section, had to get the pipe custom made as nowhere in the Uk seems to sell a complete straight through pipe, well for a resonable price anyway.

Has made a small difference but nothing like it did ti my Hawk, cabin noise is the same but have been told from the outside its a little louder.

I do sort of remember seeing that post but this threads so long now I couldn't be arsed going back and looking again.

I think in time more companies will release a centre section ie H&S?

So in conclusion then it's the back box that seems to make the major difference on cat back exhausts for the hatch?

I agree mate, this thread only started out with a few pictures...it's turned into it's own forum within a forum now...I wish SN or SIDC would create seperate sections for all the different models of Impreza, like they do on IWSTI in the States (IWSTI.com: Subaru WRX STI Forums - The Largest Subaru STi Specific Forum in the World!), that seems to work well...or someone could start a GR Series Impreza site in the UK?

p.s. a full turbo back exhaust system (there a few different suppliers now) with a decent cold air intake (in the wing) & a re-map gives the best results on the hatch STI

If I get a chance next weekend and its not too cold I'll get the Mrs to shoot a quick vid as I drive past to give you an idea of sound level.

Remember now!

Surely more companies will start making a standard centre resonator section replacement pipe sooner rather than later.

I haven't seen a diagram (or the real thing for that matter - YET) so not sure of all the different components for the hatch exhaust but I would of thought it'd be pretty standard and similar to other models, until it gets to the back box that it is.

They are around but cost an absolute fortune, have seen them for £200+ just for the centre pipe, most of which are only available in the US so with shipping are a joke costwise, this cost a hell of a lot less.

Scoobyworld are looking into making one up but I just could not wait!!
