👍👍👍👍

Carbon fibre!!!!!!

Very expensive tastes...........

The 19" wheels set it off, over the standard sti wheels.
Who did the roof wrap?
Did you fit the decal on the bumper, window deflectors, rally mud flaps?

Tempted to go on the trader....................................:notwort hy

Done by Evowrap in Bromsgrove.

Yeah decal and deflectors and rally flaps done by myself. Little changes make it stand out. Sounds nice now I've got the cobra 3" stainless on.
It's only the work car. We have a WR1 for normal use. That's mint. I used to have a 2003 plate Sti, the Wr1 and hatch eat it alive. Both well nice in different ways.

Blimey,

WR1 as well?

They are unique, definately the colour and only making 500 makes them worth looking after. 320BHP standard....

I gather you like Subarus?

Ive listened to the Cobra on a hatch on there website. They make it sound alot better, as the hatch seemed to lose the flat four burble as standard. That brings it back

Yeah this is the fourth Subaru between us we've had now. Classic, blob eye x2 (Sti & Wr1) and the hatch Sti.

The Wr1 is by far the best, a lot harder to drive than the hatch. It's like a rocket, states 4.25secs to 60mph. It's point and squirt, makes my old blob eye Sti like a metro lol
But same as; do love the Si control in the hatch. It's like having three ecus. Makes it fun :-)

Cheers

Not sure on those tail pipes
Absolutely. They are the dealer fit Remus units though I hate them - too recessed and don't polish up very well. I usually use Infinity Exhausts in Yate and have a new custom back box in the pipe work ;-)

Interesting. Any photos of what it'll look like?

I still like the look for four 4" round pipes.

Even though my prodrive has 3.5"

The half inch makes all the difference.

450 would be ok as the turbo isn't a lot bigger than the last one , I was going to sell the turbo but thought I'd fit it first and see what it's like before moving on to the forced performance black HTA so I'm not finished going up with the power just yet just taking it slowly lol

By the way, anybody know the torque settings for the bolts on the top of the front suspension turrets. I've got some shiny ones to replace my corroded ones. Thanks

The main reason for a strut brace is to fix the tops of the struts laterally to each other and help prevent camber change.

The latest STi braces (part of the STi Perfromance Package) have a flexible joint in the middle that allows some vertical movement/ flex in the chassis.

This maintains better tyre/road contact over rough surfaces/potholes.

Having driven our UK roads with first the Summit (conventional rigid) strut brace and now the STi one, I know which one works best for our roads

Here is a translation of the info on the STi website..............

Was it a really noticeable difference with the strut braces then?

I was originally very sceptical but having fitted the rear flexible subframe mounts, I found the rear didn't skip on fast roundabouts anymore just hunkered down, so the front brace went on as well.

To be honest, I'm more interested in a standard front bar, but would take a a standard front and rear if someone had them.

Rear, I'm looking to get a whiteline 20mm bar and front, hoping to find a 19 or 20mm but no luck so far.
