Just picked up a ProDrive backbox, gave it a clean and fitted it this afternoon.

I've ordered an R205 style rear diffuser from the states, just need to sort those lights out now!

8ulldog,
I like the polished protectors around the exhaust diffuser. Are they from subaru direct? Or ebay ones?

Thanks, might be closing in those carbon dipped interior plastics you pointed out as well. The current ones scratch so easy.

They are the official Subaru ones. These came on the car, though I bought some for my last hatch and they were about £120 delivered.

If anyone can recommend any springs I am looking to close the arch gap a little. Not too much as I have a BIG speed bump at the end of my cul-de-sac and the only way in/out is over it.

Anybody on here running the 3" Miltek exhaust? I've managed to acquire a 3" Miltek cat back system second hand for a good price. I also already have the Miltek sport cat. Thing is the cat is marked up as 'Motorsport use only' does that mean it won't pass the MOT? If so it defeats the object of fitting it. Also how loud is the sport cat compared to the standard downpipe? I don't want to fork out for another remap if I find the sport cat option is too loud. I want a bit more noise than my standard 330s exhaust but don't want it too loud as it is my family car. There are a few videos on YouTube but to be honest everyone sounds different so it's hard to tell. Any experience from anyone on here would be greatly received.

Cheers Ryan, is that on a hatch or the car in your profile? If it's a hatch do you have any videos or sound clips by any chance? Thanks

Have you got the part numbers Salsa-King and how easy was the rear diffuser to fit?

Is there a significant difference as the guys from the States have said I can cancel the order if I want?

Thanks

done properly you need to whip the rear bumper off to fit the 'o' ring for the fixing bracket.

https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/31182

it was £214 when I bought it + all the other bit to add.. import duty.. vat etc

Just for you.. MY FITTING GUIDE
https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...ing-guide.html

get the real one from japan parts. least you kno wit will fit, I've heard the ones from the US might not be so good at going on.

tnx, you'll feel better you know you haven't got a copy on your rear end. there were a couple fs on sn a few months back (2nd hand) about £200.. they sold though.

least with a new one you get all the parts. If you want the import duty % commodity code, PM me. I think it was 4.5%. you get Yuki at Japanparts to put it on the invoice so you don't get over charged on import duty.

found the link, use this code

I posted this on the flap thread in general.. so I'll post it here as I know we have some new hatch owners on this thread too.

really happy with the service from Ian at performance creations too.
I've got the 4mm on my Hatch .. about £70.
only drilling is for the fixing push in clips on the PLASTIC on the fender trim.

You offer up the bracket, mark the plastic trim, drill....

Looking for some advice on new wheels

So my current 330s wheels are 5x114 8.5j and ET55

Now that the car is lower. I can't go much wider on the rear without tyre scrubbing so i was thinking about going to 9j, but keeping same size tyre, that little bit of stretch will keep the main body under the arch and not cause me any issues . But in guessing I'll need to keep the same ET55?

I'm not an expert but I would think you could get away with a lower offset more like et35 on the rear as u have much smaller brakes on the rear but I'm not sure on sizes for the hatch

As Don says take your standard wheel size which you know fits and then play with the calculator to see what you can get away with.

They do look great. My favourite wheel of all time! Will these not upset the handling in some way though, when you move 20mm off the manufacturers standard offset?
