Default LED bulbs

I've had them for a few months and they really are as good as the pictures would suggest!

He sells them in pairs so what you want to order is 1 x White with Spot Lens (for your rev light) and 1 x Red with Astigmatism Lens (for your fog light).

The Astigmatism Lens acts as a diffuser so you don't get the very focused beam of the Spot Lens - perfect for fog light. The red is actually red and brighter than the brake lights.

The white with Spot Lens is pretty much like a camera flash in intensity, but constant. Unlike the OEM rev light, you can actually see where you're going in reverse!

Or as another option you could do what I've recently done which is to rewire so that the fog is now a second rev light (better visibility again) and the fogs are now inbuilt into the reflectors. They look identical to the OEM reflectors and still function as such but illuminate bright red at the flick of the rear fog switch.

HTH,

Neil
Neil can you tell me who the seller of the bulbs was on ebay? I'm after a set but can't find any anywhere where you can specify the lens type for the fog light. Does anyone know if resistors are required for the bulbs to stop errors coming up on the dash?
Cheers
Steve

You purchase them, and then just email the seller via ebay your requirements for the lens type.

YouTube plastidip mate. You can do body panels with it. Then when you get sick just peel it off. It's miles cheaper than a wrap

EvoBits don't seem to be answering emails or via FaceBook.. so might not bother with them, they have no phone number either.
To be honest I wouldn't recommend Evobits or their flaps. I think it's a one man band so you won't always get a quick answer. He just started ignoring my emails in the end, I was chasing him for 3-4 weeks after paying. I asked about instructions and rear brackets and didn't get a reply. Also told him the nuts and bolts supplied were useless, again no reply.

Anyway, you get my point!

I am going to remove these and either go back to the flapless look or buy some RAs.

To be fair, the fronts sit ok in my opinion. Im not happy with the rears. I don't think they look small but I've not compared them to anything else.

On another note, do all STI's have the heated element under the front wipers? How do these come on? Does it work with the rear heated screen button?

I don't think they do on the early cars, mine was an MY08 euro import and had this as part of the winter pack option but don't think the UK spec's car did as my friends 330s does'nt IIRC, came standard on the MY11 though.

I've now bowed out of Suabru ownership. My diesel went bang, so I'm cutting my losses and running away.

Oh Ok, perhaps there were just some of the early 57/08 reg UK cars that did not have it.

The early RHD hatches had a different part number for the windscreen, which may or may not reflect no wiper heaters.

Wiring diagrams for the early RHD cars include it.

Drawing posted above for MY11 onwards

MY07 below slightly different as no push button start option.....

I made everything reversable i.e. where I had to cut wires and add splices, every tail has a one way connector on it. Reason being that if needs be I can simply unplug my loom that feeds the LED reflectors and then re-connect the single tails and it's all back to stock again.

As supplied, the LED reflectors are dual 'brightness' as they're really designed to be additional tail and brake lights - 3 wires, tail, brake and common earth. To use as fogs, just disregard the tail light wire and only connect the brake light wire and earth. My conversion also reconfigures the stock fog to second reverse light.

If there's enough interest I would be prepared to do a walk-through with pics etc.
I'd be really interested in a walk through of this if you manage to do one (please), or even just a few instructions that a muppet like me can follow

Guys need some pointers. Just done a deal on my 330s so should have some after market parts for sale just not to sure what the price should be. In one mind the audience for 08> parts is limited due to how few sold. On the other as it's so limited there is a lack of good quality used gear so does that not strengthen the price. So need some help before I pop it all up.

For example I have a cat back Hayward and Scott 2.5" system. Needs a clean up but here's the links
http://www.haywardandscott.com/subar...t-backbox.html
And you need this centre pipe to
http://www.haywardandscott.com/subar...ngle-exit.html

So it's £720 plus delivery so what a fair and realistic used price? A third of, half price?

Any pointers would be good

Also should have

Lower zun sport grill
BasonR front lip spoiler
Set of rear lights fitted with BlueBat overlays, will include rear clear fog and uprated fog and reverse bulb. Can unbolt yours and bolt this straight on so you can return to standard.
Rally armour flaps with grey/silver logo

All have been in the car since June. Will get some prices up and a proper for sale thread with pictures over the weekend when I've removed it all, weather depending

Cheers in advance

Stevie, I'm interested in your lights, let me know how much you want for them. I was just about to go down that route, but wasn't sure I could manage to apply the overlays. Cheers
