08/09 Hatches, Stand up and show yourselves!!!
Hi!
Both suspension and rims are factory stock!
The BBS rims as well as Nav and Recaro seats where standard in Sweden, though the Impreza STI was quite expensive as new (the receipt says ~ £45 000 ).
But I'm looking for having some Eibach springs installed in a near future

The 2008 Impreza BBS rims looks similar to the 2011 version, but not the same.
When you get a chance could you pop up one from the front at a similar angle and a side shot if you that's possible
Stevie, a member by the name if ScoobL had a premium euro 08 hatch back near the start of this thread and had the bbs wheels fitted, may be worth having a search for his posts as he was quite an active member so would have posted a few pics over the years, since defected to a RRS.
was to help clarify Stevie1982's post above
Here's one from the side. I've ordered an front lip from the US, still waiting for it though.
Another thing, I would love to see some STI hatches with the Eibach springs installed.
Anyone notice anything like this ? Seems like the paint is crazed. I haven't noticed it before.
It is about 2-3 inches back from leading edge of bonnet. It is under the lacquer as I cant feel anything when I rub over the top of it. Checked the underside to see if the bonnet has been shut on something when at a garage, nothing, it is double skinned there.

Very strange.

The Subaru paint chap (or warranty chap) happened to be at Abergavenny Subaru when my car was in there today for its 2nd year service. Claim going in under warranty for that crazing/cracking, and for the splits in the sealant at the rear of the roof rails.
Will go over whole car sometime this week with a torch to check if it is anywhere else. Not good though really. Guess it will be a respray on the bonnet now, meh.

If they do paint the bonnet I'd be wanting the wings blown in for sure to blend the paint, my bodyshop refuses to paint one panel only as you will always see a difference!

get a bonnet wrap in carbon fibre... or satin black.. at about £150 might be cheaper than spraying

When subaru looked at my boot lid, they didn't bother with a respray, they just replaced the entire boot lid!
Think you'll just get a new bonnet.
Yes, the lip looks like the one Abx shows above, and I also ordered it from the US so it should be the same. The seller told me it was a V-limited II, but might as well been a "BasonR"
However, I thought this lip where the best looking one

Snarson, Ive got the Eibach Pro Springs on mine, but it <was> a WRX (couldnt really call it a wrx anymore, too many changes), but it sits well and i havent noticed <any> difference in comfort at all but it doesnt boat compared to the OEMs. I think the WRX springs are probably softer than standard STi hatch ones anyway as the wrx is a tamed down version, but might give you an idea of how it will sit

side view so you can see the arch spacing a bit better

hope that helps (deffo worth the £200 for the springs). I <might> go the way of coilovers at some point but Im happy at the moment.
Before anyone starts saying why didnt I buy an STi at the beginning - simples, funds werent available. Plus, Ive found that modding pretty much everything has taught me quite a bit about the technical side of scoobs, although im still a total novice. Its all good though.

Hi Carl,
I think it looks good, almost a bit to low
I will use my car as a daily driver and also of course during the winter time (5 month /year) here in Sweden.
Will the Eibach Pro Kit lowering the car more in the front than in the back?
Thanks.

If its too low for your liking then coilovers would be the answer.
