Phil
Neil does seem to be a genuine type. He picked mine up last Monday. I was happy with £500 over book price for mine and the WRX-s model does seem to bring higher than expected values.
Fitted mud flaps and front splitter yesterday, exhaust finishers next Wednesday. You can certainly tell the difference in 'lift' between the 330 and the WRX-s.

Well the Mrs went to bed early so spent some time detailing one side of the car after a quick foam today. Clay bar, a little deswirling and paint correction, some blackfire polish and a coat of Dodo juice Purple haze wax, will leave that overnight to cure and buff off in the morning. Will try to do the other side tomorrow then front and back in the week.

Been itching to get to use the Purple haze, most expensive wax I've used to date, their Born to be mild shampoo is quality.

Its an early 2.5 Headgasket more suited to the hawkeye but I've been told by my Source that it can be used on the hatch... I think thats bullspit the heads are completely different and as are the gaskets. I spoke to Cosworth on the matter and they told me they make a specific gasket now for the hatch and to use that and not the early one

I suspect the water has been struggling to flow around the head, so therefore it has heated up quite badly in the head area causing fairly major damage, I've now got the engine back in one piece with 2 new gaskets and a new cylinder head cylinder head as the other was nearly 1mm warped on cylinder 3

look forward to seeing the pics

waxes I currently own and use:

Dodo Purple haze, (paid a mate £20 for it as he used it once - i used it on my wife red cc focus)

but found it hard work compared to:

Swissvax best of show: £155 - if i can after the clay bar and polish fluid detail I will get about 3 layers of this on the car with 24hrs cure between layers then finish with

Swissvax Shield £105 (use this as top layer protection, has PTFE (non-stick) qualities and is perect for everyday use cars)

and i'm tempted to get the http://www.swissvax.co.uk/product_de...oducts/glacier as its meant for white only cars

I have approx £1000 worth of swissvax stuff in the kit but i used to get good deals thru Fulham who used to be on here and the uk distributor.

the finishes show the cost of the waxes are worth it tho

How did you get on Arron? It's handy as you park in the garage you can leave the car overnight.

salsa, its extremely tight

every scooby i've had has filled the garage more and more, this one being 4" wider then the previous!!!!

the only judge i have going in is that the mirrors just miss scraping the wall thats telling me i'm less then an inch from the arch on the wall.

I think the mirrors stick out more, well the UK ones do. See RB5 286 comment above.

I'm with Rob on this one - I had my JDM mirrors ordered before I even picked up the car!

I've posted these before, but here's a pic showing the difference between UK and JDM and a pic of my car with 1 UK and 1 JDM.

Used to with my last Subaru

But not with the 330S - only because you can't control the MP3 player via the car.
So I now have 4.5Gb of music on a DVD

Thanks

Luke - all my impreza's have been run on SUL, including the current 330S.
My previous MY05 & MY02 STI's also had PPP fitted and the MY05 was subsequently remapped to approx 340bhp by Mr Forrest - these were both on Sainsburys SUL.
Prior to that was 2 classics - they were run on Shell SUL

In N.Ireland we get nothing higher than SUL

In my old WRX-S i only used 95ron for 14000 miles,

It was at the 10k service i was told i should be using vmax due to the PPP kit, so i did pop over 10 tanks through it and noticed fack all diff. although on the petrol cap it did state 95 that was something subaru didnt remove on the ppp upgrade.

my new saloon has religiously had vmax or tesco, although i will pop SUL in

Look inside the petrol cap door and the label says 98 RON.

At least mine does.

So Tesco Millenium ( is it any good? ) @ 99 octane or V-Power is for me.
(Esso semed OK, not keen on the BP stuff ).

Are those alloy bits the tumble valves, the ones that look like little throtle bodies?

Are they getting deleted for better flow, or do they help mix the air / fuel?

What colour is the manifold goingto be ... white crinkle?

Yeah those are the TGV's in the alloy housing, Just leaving them alone as they work ok with them in to be fair

Manifold is going to be satin White
