Didn't cost me anything to get a reply/confirmation.
Trouble is that although the tracker is there, you don't have to pay subs to have it working, so they need to see your receipt.

I didnt mean from insurance company , if they dont believe it comes as standard , i might have to pay to get independent report. Ive got the email showing ive just topped up the system. Which to my mind is more important, like you say it might not of been topped up after the first years subscription ran out.

I know i should of gone to a specialist first. It was ease, already insured and the renewal price was ok . Ive paid them now but can cancel it with in the first few days, i believe. Think i probably will sack them off and start again. I said to them how would you like me to prove it ? Write a letter and see if admin believe you, was the answer.

Nice, still bloody expensive though, I wonder if HT autos will decide to knock one up?

Anyone fitted roof bars and box to their hatch? If so, what make did you go for and how well do they fit, price, supplier, etc?

TIA, Neil.

I tried the 9.5mm hub spacers on Saturday.. no go.... studs far too short and that coupled with the loss of the hub lip has put me off that idea...so binned them...

Now looking at hub-centric style spacers, prob 20mm

I've got 5mm on mine at the moment and agree; i wouldn't want to try anything more on the standard studs.

Need to see pics once you've got the 20mm ones on. I can't decide on whether to get 15mm or 20mm.

Cheers

They seem safe enough mate - i read somewhere at the time of fitting the minimum number of turns you need with thread type on the STi studs and they were fine.

I've got the Prodrive GT1 wheels - not sure if that makes any difference or not.

Hi Mate

Actually been looking at these myself as camping/airport runs are becomming a struggle with just a boot and my daugthers increasing numbers of toys, not to mention bikes sand scooters!!

What I have found is:

OE bars are a lot of money, over £200 IIRC but have been told Legacy bars should fit so if you can find some cheap on ebay it opens up your possibilities.

Thule seem to make the best bars are are about £125 for bars (aero), link below but the fitting guide seems to be down at the moment.

http://www.thule.com/en-GB/GB/Products/BaseRacks.aspx

Box wise, again Thule see the best and I am going to get this baby.

http://www.thule.com/en-GB/GB/Produc...es/601100.aspx

Compresses down when not in use and even folds away into a small bag that fits in the boot so you can take it off when you get to your destination.

Only thing I cannot find is a wind deflector, seems they do not sell them in the uk, even contacted Thule direct, only option in import from the US but makes them expensive.

Check out below link on NASIOC, some fab looking hatches with bars and boxes, however with all things stateside is a massove thread!!

Anyone put a towbar on their STi yet? I seem to remember one at the Litchfield meet last year - but I didn't get his name / tag.

Would like to put one on mine for a trailer / wheel carrier - but not if it means hacking away at the bumper, which the OEM one seems to need

..........now found the answer on the general thread.......

You called, that was me mate.....you have the answer now I know, but Subaru do make a detachable one (looks ok when detached). Handy for the mountain bike rack and these...

Fitted the detachable type by the dealer, Can't tell when removed as the electrics also swing up and clip out of site.
My brother has a Nissan Qashqui with a removable towbar (Witter) it's the exact same towball!!
Hope this helps.

Had the second service done on the car last week. I asked if they could check that it had the up dated ecu flash. It hadnt been done so they did it. Yesterday was the first time ive used it since. On the way home, it didnt feel like it was pulling any where near as strong as before . Am i just being paranoid ? Or has any body else felt a difference ? To be fair it was a very hot day, but still im sure it was faster. Dennis Commons in longframlington did the work and i was very pleased with there service.

The re-flash drastically reduces the torque request just before red-line... so you would notice a slightly "flatter area" circa 6.5k rpms upwards

I've just been talking to Cory at Monkeybone racing and they've been developing replacement fog light covers (with and without fogs) to replace the oem ones.

The covers with the lights are smooth faced and bevelled into the light area, the other is totally smooth as per Spec C design.

Secondly: They've designed a 3 gauge pod set-up, that sits in front of the clock screen (as per older STI designs) due to be released July

Thirdly: He's put together some graphic kits, these include bonnet stripes, & flat black or carbon roof kits

Pictures to follow in a month or 2 but I'll keep everyone posted...possible group buy on the fog covers as HT Autos seam to have dropped us?

PS I've just ordered one of his last 2 gauge vent pods... The STI's due a 5k oil change so will get a couple of 52mm gauges installed at the same time (Boost & Oil Pres)
