I disagree. I have stats to prove that most used cars of similar age are more expensive this year than last year.

I'll be honest... MrRA's comments about my virginity hurt me

West Brom? Explain?

As for swearing, I post mostly on Pistonheads. I was told that this was a lively place for a bit of banter, but is fairly strictly moderated. I have immediately been branded a 'troll' etc. which is also hurtful

Perhaps a little less ignorance (MrRA(tm) Oxford English Concise) is called for

There is no ignorance here... just a dummy spitter who and potentially lost a sale because of it
I am guessing at NACRO, it appears he/she cannot keep away!

It might well be poor ickle Alan or another, likely to be ickle Alan IMHO

I think you will find that the ban proves the point Sad that after being banned some people cannot keep away from SN and have to keep posting.

The whole world is against you, go and hide

Your problem if you ask me, youve come away from a business deal with wasted time, a car you dont want and being offended by it all. It'll certainly be your loss in the long run.

People are way to sensitive nowadays.

Yes fair enough if their English was good. I agree with you that they could have excused themselves to you before they started all that too. As you say you don't mind so much when people show a bit of good manners over it. It is quite reasonable to discuss the deal away from the seller of course.

***** to it being easier for them to talk in their own language. They're in Great Britain - not their homeland - where English is the first language. It's because of people making things easy for them that they have the run of this country. They should be making the effort to speak our language, especially in situations like that when they are in close proximity to someone who doesn't speak their language.

If myself, you and one of my friends wre having a conversation and mid way through I leant over and whispered something in my friends ear would that not bother you? I think it would. It's called manners and these 'Asians' if thats the PC term for them had none.
My word, I certainly rattled your chain didn't I?

I thought in all innocence I had just expressed a possible reason for their behaviour. Never thought of all those other things you mentioned.

If they can speak good English, then they can do so infront of you or go away and talk amongst themselves. And its your car, you can do what the hell you like with it; and that includes choosing who to sell it to.

Like when I sold my Scott flying squirrel - The guying literally had to chew my arm off for it, and had to demonstrate he was a proper knowledgable enthusiast. As I didn't want it being bought by some numpty who would seize the engine after 5 miles because he doesn't know or care how to properly adjust the oil pump.
I wish you had not mentioned about the 'bike Ali, I have wanted a Scott Flying Squirrel since I was too young to ride one!

Now i possibly bit my nose off to spite my face when i told them they were being ignorant and that i was no longer going to be selling the car .
Now my question is to the SN massive were they being ignorant/rude or is this the norm
Well done! Your values and principles remain intact.
You should be applauded for sticking to them. Sadly it is the norm nowadays to be ignorant and rude, it is a sad reflection of the society in which we live.
