Ignorant or just me
As the usual trolls haven't shown up yet, I'll fill in for them...
They were just saying "When he slows down for the last corner, I'll grab the wheel, you strangle him, I'll nick his wallet, throw him out of the car and then we drive off in it."
"No, no. I think we should jihad his ****, then run him down with his own car."
"Let's just slaughter the capitalist pig"
Did it cross your mind they might be up to something?
Maybe they were just discussing a reason to not buy the car from you, without upsetting you.

Like when I sold my Scott flying squirrel - The guying literally had to chew my arm off for it, and had to demonstrate he was a proper knowledgable enthusiast. As I didn't want it being bought by some numpty who would seize the engine after 5 miles because he doesn't know or care how to properly adjust the oil pump.
To be honest, i would find it a bit rude but if they were prepared to buy the car at a price you were happy with i would'nt worry about it.
I've been in the same situation quite a few times when ive been selling cars, some walked away, some bought the cars. The way I look at it is cash is cash, dont care who hands it over.

I don't have a problem with what you did, to be honest I would be a little concerned at 3 asians turning up to buy a car and then suddenly changing language 1/2 way through.

Possibly so , but it would have been polite to step to one side and do it ,but it just seemed rude of them to be talking to me in english and then talk between themselves in asian when they all were capable of speaking english. Now

in my case, looking back they may have been "rude" its just that I wasnt really bothered by it -- they were very polite when they spoke to me
its a very difficult one tbh and so subjective, they may have been rude in anycase its just the talking between themselves that made you realise
what you did was right in my opinion, they have come to you not the other way round, while you were there they should continued to speak English, instead of potentially planning a scam in there foreign language.
rudeness is a fine line, and often relies on the recievers perception of whether people are being rude

These lads were polite , i think it was just the way the way they went about excluding me from the conversation that pi$$ed me off .
A family of Turks came along to buy my Impreza last year and although the buyer and his wife spole English the older family members didn't.
Wasn't a problem to me when they started gibbering in Turkish as I still got a rough idea of what they were discussing by their body language.
I figured out that the old man didn't have a clue what he was looking at when he opened the bonnet and that the old dear was bored and just wanted them to hurry up and decide!
In the end they paid full asking price and I gave them £50 back to fill up with petrol as they'd been such good buyers causing me no hassle and being very polite.
They drove away happy and I stood there with the readies I wanted, I personally think you were very over sensitive. Their money is as good as anyone elses and its up to them what language they speak, its a free country not **** Germany

Were not talking about **** Germany , maybe it would be a good idea to read back through the thread as its more a question of manners ,ignorance and rudeness
PS all 3 spoke perfect English
I wonder how many sales are lost in the USA, when people lapse into Mexican, French, Italian, Polish, Mandarin etc etc etc. Multi-cultural society get used to it.
I personally hate buying from anyone that does speak received English, Yorkshiremen speak so slow between themselves I fall asleep, Scousers speak to fast, and when 2 Cockneys start talking to each other then I just give up. The ignorance of these people is beyond the pale, when will they realise that it doesn't have to be this way.

Now i possibly bit my nose off to spite my face when i told them they were being ignorant and that i was no longer going to be selling the car .
As for calling me a Troll, get a grip.
On return from the test drive they started talking to each other in some Asian language which i thought was ignorant and rude .
Now i possibly bit my nose off to spite my face when i told them they were being ignorant and that i was no longer going to be selling the car .
Now my question is to the SN massive were they being ignorant/rude or is this the norm

Ok, just read it that way.
So long as you didn't usher them away whilst goose stepping down the drive you're fine by me
Sometimes things on forums read completely different to how they would sound in a conversation.

Perhaps you should have added to your advert "..lanaguages spoken other than English in my presence will not be tolerated. Do not waste my time." You could have asked them at the time to speak English so you could understand, if they continued to speak another language, then yes that would be rude. Either that or grow a thicker skin!

People seem to care more about money than manners nowadays
Use of the word ignorant is fine as it's the buyers ignorance of manners, common courtesy and maybe cultural differences that were an issue.
The fact that morals, manners and suchlike are in decline is all to clear to see.
