I adored the Volks mate and still do, but the GT look never really sat with me. I've always been WRC.
After talking with Dave and seeing what he was capable of, it was an opportunity not to be missed. I've found someone that completely understands my attention to detail and obsession to do things right.
He's properly OCD at things being just right and his skills and WRC knowledge is just amazing.
I've always wanted to build it like a real WRC car, so I'll try and get as close as my budget will allow.
The metal work involved here is outstanding the hand skills needed to do this take years to master, hats off to the fabricator. Pity he wouldnt do the rear subframes lol

Yes I have daves subframes but selling them on here was just a ball ache to be honest but other mates have had them
Massive thanks to Damien Bradley and Steven Darley for helping me source probably one o the rarest WRC parts out there for a bugeye.
Genuine Prodrive S8 Tarmac splitter/skid pan in autoclave carbon.
This is the real deal and will suit the car perfectly as it fits right up to the underside of the WRC front bumper. They only made the S8 cars for a year in 2002, then they only had this particular splitter on tarmac events, so there can't be that many of them around.
Pmsl, it certainly wasn't free. If I discussed the money I spent doing the things I enjoy, I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much.
Besides, you think I've past worrying about it.

More a case of moving some numbers around and then some porno car parts arrive
There are so many build threads on Subaru forums that start "WRC inspired", but a only a handful out there that really deliver on that promise: this is one of them.
I loved what you did with the car the first time round and this looks to be better still. If I had the money (and the ***** to hack up my car!) this is exactly what I would like to do with my Scoob: I look forward to seeing the finished product!
