Up to a point I think.

And I think that point is indeed at 20% or thereabouts. I'm sure I've read that somewhere on this site that no further real gains to be had once you go past 20/80 ratio...(?)

Coincidenatally, have you seen Scooby Clinic's billet thread today? An SC36 made 446bhp!!! with 20% meth. WTF!

SC36 at 446 ! ... is good going.

The mapper can make a difference too. When I first ran 20% 562 Bhp was achieved (as power figures only ) but ran at 520 and 460 on V Power.

Same spec was remapped by another mapper and now I am running 498 on V Power and 540 on 20%.

Both mappers were good though.

Tested the car today given it's had no use since the dyno because of two wet Sundays at the pod. So popped to a local place I know with just VP and meth and gave it a blast; was only making 1 bar so thought there must be a boost leak. Checked everything and no so tried another cal and boost ! Paul must have left cal 1 on 1 bar

So as all the other cals are for Maxnos I changed fuel over and tried again, this time misfire ! I suspected plug as the leaded fuel does foul them quickly.

Had to pop out to pick some parts up so once back swapped in a clean set and 3rd time lucky all is well, however it is fast !!! I was shocked, over 700bhp and lightweight car, mental ! Can't wait for 30-130 now

Back for 30-130 at Marham and managed to edge out the Banana to take 1st spot.

Great day for the MAD Hammer crew, this was the cars first time out on it's new set up so with 6.85 I think we can safely say it works

Paul Managed 10.18 in his first ever go in the car too.

May have been quicker times in it but weather ruined any further efforts and I wanted to give Paul some time in the car tbh.

Thanks to MLR and RAF for the day.

Few pics from the day

Stunning result Clive.

Is the bannana running a sequential box now too? Youre also still on a stock cog swapper too?

Yes to both mate, although Banana could not hit 130 in 4th which gave me a little advantage.

What's that "...6.85..." you refer to, Clive? Surely that can't be 30-130mph?!

Sorry for being thick.

Feckin' hell that's quick!

Is it measured whilst you're gunning it from the lowest optimum gear/s, from the point when you reach 30mph i.e. you basically do a standing start from 0 and when you reach 30mph, the timing starts?

Or is it measured on a steady throttle at 30mph, and THEN measured as soon as you gun it?

^^ It's your choice fella ie best way to get the quickest time is your call. I went from 2nd gear at c25mph ...

Great result Clive and nice to meet up. It's a shame there is only one of these types of event per year as they are a little more car friendly than standing start events. (Unless you happen to drive a 1000bhp (ish) EVO that is although he drives Subaru's pretty quick as well as we witnessed.)

Well done mate

Good to meet you too Fred.

Steven,

You going easy on a box is just not right But when they cost as much as that one I understand why.

Will be interesting to see logs when you get them, shame it was wet in the PM as I think mone could have gone better, that 3rd run of mine is the 3rd time I have driven in anger since the massive hike in power. I think my changes were rusty tbh.

Was a good battle though, on to the drag strip now mate

I know Clive, its something i am not used to, which is not like me at all. I guess the continuos jibes have finally had a mental impact. Add that to the year out of driving in competition and it has an effect.

Will see you on the drag strip, thats for sure.

Steven
