If I had done it in one go I reckon about 8 hours. However it must be impossible to do it in one with the amount of times you hit your hand with the hammer rather than the chisel

Did this too my type r a little while back and yes shifted a fair bit of weight from it, got it all in a bag in the shed, keep meaning to weigh it, id say its around 10-15kg tho. Did mine over the space of about 4 days, recon i could have done it in a day but its quite a boreing job and quite messy, well worth doing tho.

Don't think so, Paul said 9kg. I will weigh it next time i'm working on it and confirm exactly though as I still have it all in a big bag

Never
Now if your talking underseal from the underside aswell, maybe?
Mines stripped and caged, all the sound deadening was removed on the inside, Its easy to chip off when cold, then wipe the residue off with thinners.

I really don't think you need to go to this extreme as you are going to keep an interior in yours?

Not too bad with a fully stripped car, I did Grimsby to Silverstone with no probs. You could even hold a conversation. LOL

The metal ones are cheaper than that. I did have the part number but cant find it.
I just glued them in with some liquid metal

Not a great deal done today as it was bloody cold outside and I had an electrical problem inside so had to get a mate round to fix that. However Paul finished cleaning up the floor, just the boot to do now and I just done a few bits under the bonnet; few pipes conected etc.

You should have kept the steel ones that come off with the sound deadening so you could clean them up and stick them back in. Alternatively buy new steel ones and glue them in.

I have done Paul, think I may well pop them back in before painting. Silly to spend even £30 on rubber ones.
